Another weekend of summer-like numbers:
- At least three people have been killed and 14 others injured in citywide shootings so far this weekend, including a half dozen people who were wounded in a single attack at a South Side gathering.
And the screams from the media bout another "mass shooting" are.....
....strangely not there. At all.
Can someone tell us where these assholes are getting their ammo? Because we're having a hard time even getting ball ammo for practice.

The CEO of Federal made a YouTube video regarding their production. I just watched it. I know that under the obama administration, govt agencies hogged up the market in order to create a shortage. I would hope that’s not the case right now. I think big retailers are sitting on a bunch in order to drive up prices.

Considering the large number of wounded to killed. I would imagine they are using hardball ammo. In the Army we knew that it often only wounded instead of killing.

You are correct. The dozens of mass shootings in Chicago every year get zero play in any media. If a white guy commits a mass shooting in Chicago, the media would cover it 24/7. Non-stop, with "Experts".

Averaging over 60 cent a round for generic global ball 9mm (online + tax and shipping w/FLOID card on file).
It's outrageous, egregious, preposterous. IROCC is gonna cost $5 more in ammo this year - for those on fixed income.

As a rule, when purchasing any firearm, you should also buy 1000 rounds of ammunition, plus the ammunition you plan to zero the weapon, plus the ammo to train with. And..... all that you can afford for your other guns.
Why 1000? It will not depreciate. It can ONLY go up. Way up. If the world goes to hell, ammunition becomes much more precious. Like right now.

ammo is short nationwide. online sources still advertise ammo but when you go to order its outta stock. those that have it are holding out for crazy money. i have just enough but will not be hitting the range for at least a year. my local giant gun store said it will be six months to a year until. 38 is available again. i was willing to wait and vowed to stock up like toilet paper, but now with the chinese puppets in power, probably forever in the state of d.c. , i bet we will never see cheap and plentiful ammo again. many anti gunners over the years including toni, blago and others have tried to tax ammo out of existance. keep your damn second amendment, we just wont let you get any ammo. a gun without ammos about as useful as a car without fuel. paperweight. erections have consequences indeed !

Just bought a case of 00buck this week. He does not have everything in stock, but from what I've seen has 9mm, 40sw and 223.

Ammunition deserts.
Police should be allowed to confiscate, photograph and dispose of evidentiary recovered ammo rather than inventory, maybe put one round in a vile, just like alcoholics consumable beaverage’.
This would save a ton of processing time, streamline ERPS logistics, eliminate dedicated shelf space and those awful special little envelopes...especially in these challenging and difficult times.
