A car doing donuts at night in front of the iconic Chicago Theater. We're thinking a still shot of this would make an excellent Christmas card for our friends.
This one is a bit darker:
An attempted carjacking/robbery at rifle point caught by POD cameras. Cops pull up just after it started and the offenders jump back in their car to escape. The pursuit begins, but is almost immediately called off because PH1 was on the job and.....
Sorry, it was called off because if there was a crash or someone got ran over, the cops would be unemployed, bankrupt and in jail, so it was terminated before it could get that far. The victim turns his car around, but we don't know if he was fleeing himself or following the cops.

Just to the right of the entrance to the theater, there's a guy with white sleeves and dark/black vest. Is that the police?
And two guys on dirt bikes there too. One parked on the sidewalk, and the other just riding casually around the white car doing donuts.
I can't imagine what tourists think when they see all that circular rubber marks on the middle of the street there.
Downtown looks rotten and has been taken over by the dregs of society who deserve to be demonized for their behavior.

So donut guy has a fan in the comments. I imagine the mush doesn’t live across the street from the noise and smoke, and probably isn’t related to the person on the bicycle that could have gotten clipped.

I’m sorry but if if it’s not the job of the police to confront and stop 4 armed gunmen, please tell me where the responsibility falls. Why bother doing anything other than taking a report. And a civilian can take a report so why are police needed at all. Either give the power back to the police or live in a city with no law and order. That includes letting them handle their own bullshit domestics. Let them eat their own.

Well, if only these pesky rules were not such an impeding obstacle......
The donut maker is a street artist, the street is his canvas.
Don’t demonize him, he is just projecting his inner feelings.
Soon the city will shut down streets for this festival.
It’s no different than NASCAR.

The officers who on-viewed the car jacking in progress should have stopped, Exited their vehicle and attended to the victim.
At the same time they have to notify the dispatcher of the offenders vehicle, etc.
The victims medical condition is primary importance.
The officers should not chase the offenders.
I hate myself for posting this, but that is the world we live in.
The victims need to start getting the hack lawyers to sue the Sgts. That call off the chases and also start suing CPD itself for not protecting the taxpayers. Maybe that would change their tunes?
