Weekend of "Mass Shootings"
Started out in what used to be a quiet retirement District:
Four people were shot in an Uptown neighborhood attack Saturday afternoon on the North Side.
About 12:30 p.m., two people with guns approached the group in the 5000 block of North Winthrop and opened fire, according to Chicago police.
[...] No one was in custody.
Twelve-thirty in the afternoon. They're getting bold.
Then in front of 003, again in broad daylight:
A shooting near a police station Saturday afternoon in Woodlawn left two people wounded by gunfire and four officers hospitalized after they crashed while pursuing the suspected gunmen.
Someone fired shots from a car about 3:30 p.m., striking a 24-year-old man in his thigh and grazing a 28-year-old woman’s buttocks, outside the Grand Crossing District police station the 7000 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, Chicago police said in a statement.
A source told the Sun-Times that both of the people wounded were migrants. The source said it wasn’t known if the two were the targets of the shooting, or if the shooting was targeting migrants in general.
The hood might be expressing their "displeasure" with illegals by shooting at them? In front of police stations? We imagine this "investigation" will fall down the same rabbit hole as the Sox Park shooting. Now one is going to say one democratic-voting constituency is shooting at a potential democratic-voting constituency.
Best wishes to all the injured cops. We heard they're all stable or resting at home.

At least 8 people were wounded in a shooting early Sunday in River North, officials said.
About 2:40 a.m., a group was gathered in the 300 block of West Erie Street when someone opened fire, Chicago police said.
Three males and one female were hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
Four more victims were taken to area hospitals where they were listed in good condition or their conditions had stabilized, police said.
River North? How far is this from the new casino? How far was this from the marathon route?
So many questions.

Besides the killings and the woundings there is emotional trauma to the victims and their families. Then there is the cost to the taxpayers by paying for the immediate medical followed by, the years of physical therapy and long stays in a rehabilitation facility. All paid for by the taxpayers costing millions of dollars. Every week it’s the same thing but it falls on deaf ears.
Think about the the residents of this city who have killed or wounded someone and never got caught and they are walking among us.
