None of the families sitting with conehead or Larry in the biewing stand should be the nail in both their career coffins

This is the first time I saw no gold star families sitting in the viewing stand. They sat outside of it on either side. Don’t know the reasoning behind the change though…

so many of the hair gel molly vest don't show up, clout babies think it's a waste of their time. A real Boss would launch them off tactical , if assigned to a beat car, split up partners , if management on a watch bye,bye if in a Unit transfered on telephone order. Police Officers die and they can't get out of bed to honor the deceased. I'm retired and still attend.

Thanks to all who attended on behalf of ALL our departed brothers and sisters in the oldest and proudest tradition of the Chicago Police Department. Kudo's as well to the Honor Guard and Pipes and Drums who continue the ceremonial formality annually. Rest in everlasting peace all who were again honored on Sunday, the 94th St. Jude March that commemorates the tragic loss of 608 of... 'Chicago's Finest.'

I’ll bet the only reason you went to the “parade “ was for uniform inspection.

Agree. These young officers carrying on a conversation and giggling during the march like they’re back in high school. STFU

Today is the anniversary of Haymarket. Never forget that the city has chosen to honor the bomb-throwers with a monument at the site of the attack, while our monument is in hiding - now permanently in the rear parking lot of headquarters - due Obama’s pal in the Weather Underground blowing it up not once, but twice.

Where were you? We all were at a March for fallen officers. You must be a 1 year wonder that has no clue. Get some time on the job before you start criticizing people. The first 5 years on the job keep your mouth shut and learn.

Yesterday, members of the Berwyn Police Department had the honor of participating in the Run to Remember alongside our fellow officers from across the Chicagoland area. This event is a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of those who gave everything in the line of duty. Together, we honored their memory while supporting the families of fallen and catastrophically injured Chicago Police Officers.

Dump your car in a No Parking zone.
Go up to the front office 5 year wonder bimbo taking attendance.
Tell the guys you forgot your hat, go back to your car and go to breakfast.
I KNOW, I am an asshole. BUT, I'm an asshole with 10 seconds left on this shit job and I will NEVER look back. "You do you."

I call bullshit about getting a parking ticket, the only way you are getting a ticket is if you blocked someone’s driveway, someone’s handicap spot, or it’s a violation to someone’s safety, such as a hydrant or double parked or blocking traffic. The meter maids and police officers are told to not ticket unless absolutely necessary

I’ll bet some did not go to March but went to free breakfast. Yes agreed poor turnout.

Retired many years ago. Some might consider donating to the Chaplains Unit. They sponsor events for the Gold Star Families. A donation is such a small gesture for such a terrible loss for the families.

Recruitment and Retention are more concerned about DEI and not people that understand this city and its culture. The rich history of the department is quickly fading. It’s the all about me generation.

Pretty good turnout, but some of these coppers need to be reprimanded for their poor uniform appearance. Saw some guy wearing the reefer, another gym shoes, and a lot of wrinkly blouses and mismatched pants. Put in some effort, it’s a reflection of your character.

"Reasoning?"

Someone posted just a little above that the Mayor was seated in that reviewing stand.

Hmm.

Get further info and draw your own conclusions...

...and be kind. A terrible time for us all, police and victims and the good people of the City.

Ah the memories of walking- in the parade around my tenth year on the job and the soles of my shiny police dress shoes completely dissolving as I walked in unison with my unit. I started the march with a pair of dress shoes and ended it with a black pair of moccasins.
