CTA Shooting Video Released
This is someone's phone video. We don't have all the specifics (and don't worry, you don't need a social media account to see it), but someone literally pulled a gun out of his pants and shot two people while running directly past a couple officers....and got away.
We can get it to play sometimes, and sometimes it freezes up.
Who has the specifics?
UPDATE: it appears to be video from a few months ago that social media sites aren't censoring?

The "lady" with the pink corn rows recording the guy on the ground is the best.
Whats the camera man complaining about? CPD doesn't shoot when they should. CPD doesn't frisk when they should. CPD write reports and put tourniquets on victims. Someone should tell the camera man there are no offenders in Cook County there are only victims and CPD doesnt villainize the post graduates and current CPS students. You can thank yourselves Chicagoans, the brain trusts from the various institutions of higher education and the ACLU for the new CPD.

Tragic what life in this city has become. Also tragic that I couldnt understand the officers in this video. Was that English? Were they just talking the language of the folk (or people) around them? Why are they always yelling and shouting when they talk like that? I would have to get on the radio and call for an interpreter. Serious question: does any copper take the CTA to get to traffic court anymore? The last time I took the Orange Line, I almost had to draw down on some POS who was beating the crap out of his baby’s mama (at 9 in the morning in full view of tourists coming from Midway…and that was 10 years ago.) Civilians take note - if coppers with a sidearm don’t like taking free public transportation to get downtown in broad daylight because of the risks involved…why are you?

Back when I use to take the blue line to go the traffic court. I had an idiot punch a Corp counsel attorney on the platform. As he ran past me I pushed him off the platform.
The auntie pulled a CR on me and that was the last time I worked or rode the CTA. It was also the last time I did actual proactive police work.
