How many died of drug overdoses?
Fifty-eight more people died of drug overdoses in San Francisco last month [November], bringing the yearly total to at least 621. That compares to 441 deaths in all of 2019.
The latest numbers put San Francisco on track to losing nearly two people a day by the end of the year and dwarf the 173 deaths from COVID-19 the city has seen so far this year.
The drug crisis has been exacerbated by fentanyl, a powerful opioid that can be 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine.
If there was a virus spreading, killing four times as many people as are currently dying of COVID, would there be some sort of panic driven response?
But if it's only dead junkies, there is no real political purpose in panicking the citizenry, closing restaurants, gyms, wrecking the economy and scaring people to think mail-in voting is "secure."

This intrepid "reporter" observed and documented a shipment of thousands of doses of fentanyl from manufacture to delivery in Mexico. She then watches as this shipment crosses the border, while breathlessly fearing that the "mule" will be stopped and the shipment discovered. It wasn't. All this while adeptly talking out of both sides of her mouth, ruing the thousands of dead fentanyl victims and their families, juxtaposing them with the poor Mexicans just trying to feed their families. I was waiting for her to get to the border and shout "stop that car", thus potentially saving hundreds or thousands of lives. Silly me. Their smell and taste will come back. It took me almost 3 months for taste and smell to return. The cough lingered for 2-3 weeks after being non contagious.

I'd like to see a breakdown of those who died of covid and those who died "with covid." Also the number from things like suicides and drug overdoses from the government lockdown policies.

Not saying I disagree with the sentiment, but drug overdosing isn't contagious. It isn't exactly comparing apples and apples. Come to think of it, money wise, how much do we as a nation spend fighting the war on drugs? Rehab? Yeah...

You have no idea how many COVID deaths are due to comorbidities from lifestyle choices.
Very good people can get prescribed poison by their doctors until they are hooked because that it was the drugs do.
That is not correct. When taken AS PRESCRIBED it is less addictive than alcohol. People just can't follow simple instructions.

Just so you know, that admission charge, and ventilator payment, doesn't cover the cost for either. Just like Medicaid and Medicare, they cost more money than they pay. There is a reason most clinics will only accept a certain number of those patients, because they COST money.

You really think that you are “essential “? The Cardinal got his China flu shot before you. Now that’s essential. When was the last time he was saying mass in one of his closed churches? He probably only says mass to a select few clouted in his mansion. That’s essential!
