At the same time Senate President Emil Jones went to unusual lengths to block a Commonwealth Edison rate freeze, his stepson's computer-consulting firm was on the payroll of the utility's corporate parent.
Late Wednesday, a top Jones aide said the Senate leader was unaware of his stepson's utility deal until being told of it by the Chicago Sun-Times.
At least we know why he fought so hard and used a parliamentary maneuver that had been used maybe once in the past 125 years to undercut his own party members.

I wonder if old Emil knows about the 45 million dollar no bid contract that his stepson has with the county? These things probably never come up over dinner at the Peninsula, why would a stepson mention to his stepfather that he is getting these big paydays. Oh, yea, he doesn't have to, the stepfather already knows. In the meantime, because the janitors got shitcanned, the hallways at the court buildings are filling with garbage. Besides the lawyers I mean.
Maybe u (SCC) hate him for the same reason I do: he's signed on to the daley/blago/machine anti-gun stance.

There must be a demand for "accountability" when a pol can threaten any entity wether it is a business or a concerned group and then turn around , 180, and grab the cash as a settlement.(and then, cash in hand,fuggedaaboudit)
