Thanks SCC for running this informational bulletin.
More importantly, THANK YOU to all our members that take their own TIME and MONEY to honor our fallen brothers and sisters in D.C.
At one time during your career, I believe that every member should share the experience of the DC Memorial.
And, if time and funds won't allow YOU this year, consider it in the future. And if you realize that you will never be able to share the experience for whatever reason, then keep OUR fallen in your hearts, thoughts and prayers.
Remember Our Thin Blue Line.

The DC Memorial experience can not be described, it must be felt. I'm sure everyone who has gone and participated in the police events, not just the partying, will attest to this. President Bush takes approx. three hours to enter the crowd of police families who's loved one paid the ultimate price, and speaks to each and every family. If you do attend, don't leave before the end of the cerimoney. Last year there were only a handfull of the 300 in attendance, including the Supt. left to honor the families as they left the Capitol grounds.

What a typical menu, a MEXICAN menu, for all u racist mf's. I hope u all choke on the MEXICAN dishes. Send all immigrants home but lets keep their traditions and their food. You all should get a copy of the movie A DAY WITHOUT MEXICANS. Then you will relize how much you need us.

You sir are an "asshat" (sorry for stealing the term but I felt it applied). How dare you post that crap on this issue. This event is going to be a great night out. It gives the gold star families and the officers who support them a night mingle and heal. I think the menu may have been influenced by the fact that Mrs. Solorio is going to be there. She has had a very hard year since Eric's death. I think the idea may be to make things a little more comfortable for her to be able to sit back enjoy herself and be in a setting that might make her more relaxed. I have talked to Mrs. Solorio on numerous occasions over this past year, most recently at the FOP dedication ceremony and then down in Springfield at the Police Memorial. She is still badly shaken by the loss of her only son. Anything we can do to help her pain heal is worth it.
Hope to see you all there. Anyone that shows up, come over and shake my hand. For Mr. 08:30, if you have the balls to come, you can give your rebuttal to my post to my face. I won't be hard to find I be the guy in the kilt.
We Will Never Forget Our Fallen.....

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! I'm entitled to celebrate St. Pat's Day & they can celebrate theirs. I think I'll celebrate by having a pitcher of Margaritas, some carne asada, a few
Dos Equis and a shot of Three Generations Brandy, as I watch "The Alamo". Then I'll put up the Mexican Flag....on a target at a gun range. Let's see how many holes I can put in the buzzard.
