From Bill Clinton after announcing to the world that, alas, Hillary would be forced to go negative for her campaign.
- Bill Clinton is unleashing her, announcing the Clintons are going to go negative against Obama in New Hampshire and invoking the politics of personal destruction.
- "Nobody would like it better than us if you could get that personal vilification out of there, because nobody's been vilified more than we have," said Bill Clinton late last week, establishing pretext for a negative attack.
- "Nobody would be happier to see all this go away than us," the former president said ominously. "But you can't ask somebody who is at a breathtaking disadvantage in the information coming to the voters to ignore that disadvantage and basically agree to put bullets in their brains," Clinton said.
Can you imagine if anyone on the right said something like this? "...bullets in their brains." The left would be screaming about "advocating assassination," "shades of the Jim Crow south," "resurgence of a Klan mentality," or "Vince Foster! Suicide! Cover up!" But since it's the Clintons, all is forgiven, even before it's said.

He promised that participation in the Program would be completely voluntary, that the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the program, that the money the participants elected to put
into the program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year, that the money the participants put into the independent "Trust Fund" rather than into the General Operating Fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other government program, and, that the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Since many of us or members of our families have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
the money we paid to the federal government to "put away", you may be interested in the following:

Independent "Trust Fund" and put it into the General Fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically-controlled House and Senate.
Q: Which political party eliminated the income tax reduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.
Q: Which political party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking" deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the U.S.

New sup is going to make rounds this week, next week he's gonna have a command staff meeting it's gonna cover his observations and his direction the departmnent will be taking. Tuesday he'll be at the Academy and then Area 2 HQ (because of their high violent crime rate), wednesday its CCG and HQ to review homeland security matters. Thursday to OEC and DOC/Fusion again for homeland security. Friday HQ again to personnel.

Which party up until January of 2007, had been in control of both houses of congress for a dozen years and the White House for six of them?
What did that party do about these "attacks" on Social Security during this period?
Which party has been far in the lead in attempts to scrap Social Security altogether in favor of "private savings accounts" which would only serve to further enrich the Wall Street hustlers at our expense?

All REPUBLICANS,how come they didn't abollish SS? Do you remember the "Contract with America" a republican controlled congress w/Newt Gingrich as the Speaker of the House, didn't abolish SS,why not? I agree with you, either pay only the people that have contributed or survivors. If not, abolish SS and give everyone their money back plus interest.
