Double Becomes a Triple
- Another victim died Sunday in Tuesday's shooting in Logan Square that may have started with a drug deal.
Jose Soberanis-Radilla, 36, of 2415 N. Monticello was pronounced dead at 2:18 p.m. Sunday at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. He died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
All over a dope deal.

where there's drugs, there's guns. same goes for where there's guns, there's drugs. they go hand in hand. unfortunately, some people on this job have no clue.
Do you think dispatch could lay off the ALL CALLS for this? We get it, three dead, it made the news, big deal. We don't need 20 broadcasts a shift!
hey 12:36 AM
It is not DISPATCH that determines how many times an all call is read over the air, Einstein.
They are just doing their job and reading the all call as many times as is directed by the REQUESTER of the all call.
Someone must have thought this event important enough to warrant MULTIPLE readings of the all call.
You'd think Chicago never had a double (I mean triple) homicide before.

Awesome. ALL CALL MSG #4,535,634,633
.....I COULD GIVE A FLYIN' FCK.
maybe if they play the ALL CALL every 5 minutes instead of every 10 they will catch these offenders
do u guys think that jody cranks dat soulja boy???
"where there's drugs, there's guns. same goes for where there's guns, there's drugs. they go hand in hand."
So, what does this tell us?
Anyone left alive that remembers Prohibition?
Money is why there's guns, lots and lots of money.
Decriminalize 'controlled substances' and you take the money out of them.
When was the last time anyone fought over 'booze territory', or a 'booze deal gone bad'?
We don't need 20 broadcasts a shift!

Holy shit, you couldn’t be more right on that one! Even the P/O's on furlough know, its been repeated soooo many times!
I think its a new PSY-OP strategy in order to keep the homicides down in ’08: Repeat the “all-Call” message over and over and over until the homicides stop.
lets do a seat belt mission or get an event number or maybe a cta check. that should do it. signed a worthless clout jagoff exempt rank.
I'm so damn sick of the on call message thats played every 10 minutes it seems.
Drug deal gone bad!
Who cares about these dogs!
They got what they deserved and a part of doing their business!

HELL...Leagalize, Tax and Mark-up the shit and get rid of income taxes.
Hey Asshats the all call message is for our safety. These rats have no problem killing 3 and shooting a 4th who almost died, what do you think they will do when confronted by us. If it is fresh in your mind then perhaps there is less chance of a P.O. getting hurt if they happen upon these jag offs on a "routine traffic stop". So stop bitching.
I'm so sick of the frickin all call! STFU!

Thought all-calls were reserved for BOLO,Officer Safety Alerts& the like. What purpose would it serve to broadcast a crime w/ an offender already in custody?
That's asinine& defies any beneficial Police Purpose.
Dana Starks,is behind this?
That explains everting, Zaba,zaba zoo
Off topic. I am a PO who resides in Lakeview and would like to thank 023 Tact for catching the guys stealing all the catalytic converters from underneath cars. I had a neighbor who was a victim and would just like to extend my appreciation.
Can you imagine legalized drugs? 2/3rds of 26th and california would have to close. Never happen as the lawyers need the work and they make the law. Better for them if they tax us to death.
What is the problem with giving this information ONCE at roll call?
Somebody dead.
do u guys think that jody cranks dat soulja boy???
sho nuff.
were up to 11 homicides already, its supposed to be a hot dry summer. Gangs are having leadership/turf struggles. Number of cops on street all time low (last 4 years, no backing from dept on shootings, crs & POs being stripped for BS. I don't think there will be a crime reduction ribbon for 08.
I thought guns were illegal in Chicago???

Boy oh boy, that gun control sure is effective.

Wrong detective,i have guns in my home but no drugs. Are you saying that policeman have drugs in their homes??Ok,well some of them do.I do not,I also do not eat flamin hot cheetos and drink grape soda.
It doesnt matter how may die...the City will ensure that by the end of the year the homicide rate is down....(stats ONLY)
You're never going to see the leagization and taxation of controlled substances because while it would take the ability of criminals to print money by trading in drugs it would also take away the payoffs paid to those in high places of our government who block leagalization and controlled sale of these drugs.
There is no way the amount of drugs that enter this country get here without people in high places looking the other way.
When booze was illegal Capone had just about all the politicians in his pocket.
The all call may be excessive.
Catching the assholes who did the shooting should be a priority. The drugs they sell could go right to somebody close to you if their not caught. Not EVERYTHING that happens only affects the "Ghetto".
Can anyone in the know answer
UGLY QUESTION #1- Were these poor victims of the Logan Square ho,icides Illegal aliens?
UGLY QUESTION #2- Was that female doctor found dead in Lincoln Park a murder or suicide? Where has that investigation gone? Wayyyy off of the radar!
do u guys think that jody cranks dat soulja boy???

No. But I do believe he's 'Supermanned' a ho or two in his day.
PRETTY SOON YOU WONT BE ABLE TO TALK ON THE RADIO IF THEY DO THIS FOR ALL HOMICIDES TO WHICH THERE'S NO ARREST. OR IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE TO THIS ONE THAT MAKES IT SPECIAL, LIKE WHO ARE THEY RELATED TO. HHHMMMMM

Take a look at one of the shit heads they are looking for. Fernando Palomino has a 12 page rap sheet. He was arrested with Murder - First Degree (Attempt) Got convicted for AGG Discharge of a firearm and sentenced to 10 years on 30 Jan 2006. Im really bad in math but seems to me he’s out kind of early. Now he’s killing people. The city that works. Our justice system sucks. But if a P/O gets caught steeling 5 bucks from a drunk, they will be spending more than 5 in the clink.
When I hear that aweful all call message come across, I damn near turn off the radio for a minute!
Another words I don't give a flying fuck about how many people got kilt over a bad drug deal!
Jose: buh bye.
One less 'problem' family from beat 2524. Good riddance!
Darwin was right on quite a few things and, natural selection was a homerun!
I've been praying at least two times a day since I heard of this horrible crime that left three people dead in an apparent drug-related home invasion. Praying that the fourth "innocent" victim succombs to his wounds and praying that this type of shit happens more often. Fuck all of these useless, under/uneducated, illegal, non-tax-paying, city-service-draining, baby-making, theiving-ass, perpetually ignorant, gang-banging pieces of shit. Pillars of the community they're not. A weekly quadruple (or hopefully better) homicide would be wonderful for the legitimate citizens in our society.
"Can you imagine legalized drugs? 2/3rds of 26th and california would have to close."
No need to worry about that.
If the drug cash cow were to dry up, all these miscreants would do is revert back to committing the 'traditional' crimes of burglary, strong-arm or armed robbery, home invasion, auto theft, car-jacking, kidnapping, extortion, thefts by fraud, loan-sharking, prostitution, etc., etc.
Legalize gambling and prostitution, the remaining 2 of the triad of vices, and you'll still have plenty of criminals committing crimes, still plenty of work for law enforcement officers to do and prosecuting attorney's to fuck up.
The difference will be that mostly real criminals, committing real criminal acts against their fellow citizens, will be at risk of being apprehended, indicted, prosecuted, convicted, sentenced and incarcerated.
For those who believe that criminal acts are often caused by the influence of controlled substances, just make the use of these substances during the commission of a criminal act an aggravating factor of, say 2x - 5x the 'normal' punishment for the crime committed.
"You're never going to see the legalization and taxation of controlled substances because, while it would take away the ability of criminals to print money by trading in drugs, it would also take away the payoffs paid to those in high places of our government, who block legalization and controlled sale of these drugs."
It's not only this, but so much more.
Fines and Forfeitures. (Sort of like the drug dealers, upon conviction, find out they've been working for the government all along)
International Trade 'Agreements'. (We say "Cut the right deals with our 'recommended' corporations, for raw materials, manufactured goods, agricultural products and such, and we'll 'guarantee' a certain percentage of your 'cash' crop will make it to our markets". To which the ___________'s) reply "Chure ting, gringo, noooooo problemo."
Taxes, Taxes, Taxes. (The War On Drugs is especially expensive to the taxpayers. Why let the freedom of choice of the people get in the way of a lucrative thing?)
Pharmaceutical Corporate Profits. (Keeping control of the not-so-free markets in the 'appropriate' hands for decades.)
Medical Industrial Combine. (Nobody knows what's better for your health than Doctor Welby......)
Personal Freedom. A concept beyond practical reach.
Personal Responsibility. A concept beyond many person's comprehension.
And the beat goes on.......
I dont know whats up with the all calls. The incident is already classified as a triple suicide.
Decriminalize 'controlled substances' and you take the money out of them.
When was the last time anyone fought over 'booze territory', or a 'booze deal gone bad'?
***********************************
Get your fucking head checked ... buy a shovel, get a union card or apply at your local "Jewels" ... because without "illegal controlled substances" you could be collecting SSI and carrying a LINK card
Uh uh...keep em illegal, for at least 6 more years or so
And as far as "booze deals gone bad" I don't know about you but I have seen plenty of bloody bar fights
The city's down three democratic voter's. We better replace them asap!
what the hell is an asshat?
Somebody else dead.

These asshats are not criminals because they want $. They are criminals ....because THEY ARE CRIMINALS. In the 1930's 1/2 the population lived below the poverty line .... now approx 15% are below that line.... way more crime now.
Economic excuses are just that ....excuses .....
3 dead - one in jail ------>>>>> good job A5 ( all 30 of you who worked on it ... for 48 hours straight .... HA HA)
$100K to bring some illegal alien to justice ....
All joking aside ...good job anyways!

I sure hope this guy ain't a cop, 'cause THIS is the attitude that garners the most contempt from those whose taxes pay every government employee's salaries.
I do appreciate the unusually high level of honesty, though.
Drug laws are the biggest scam since Prohibition.
Their successful acceptance, by all parties involved, is one more bit of proof that we, as Americans, have lost all sense of what it means to be an American.
Welcome to the 21st century version of the American Dream.
4th homicide for 025.
15 year old shot dead at 2900 N springfield. Not far from where the triple homicide happened.
...Darwin was right on quite a few things and, natural selection was a homerun!...
Is that the guy that works 2525 on midnights?
I understand the method behind the madness. The two guys that are still wanted have police scanners and if they keep broadcasting that all-call, the bad guys will get just as sick listening to it as we are. They will give up just to have peace and quiet.
"These asshats are not criminals because they want $. They are criminals ....because THEY ARE CRIMINALS."
Perhaps some are.
But most are criminals because they choose to get money by using criminal means.
Drug laws merely enable them to get much more money than the drugs would ever be worth in a free market.
Alcoholic substances are a good example.
The consumer can purchase alcoholic substances for as little or as much as they choose to spend, depending on their personal desires and definitions of the value of 'quality' booze.
The same would prove to be true were all currently controlled substances to be decriminalized, aka legalized, regulated, taxed and sold on the free market.
Even prescription drugs are drugs, many so similar to those on the controlled substance lists as to be indistinguishable from same, without a degree in chemistry.
Drugs laws, and the 'war on drugs', are about money, lots and lots of money, gained from the artificially inflated value the criminalizing of these substances creates, gained from the taxes paid to 'fight' and finance this war and gained from the taxes paid to incarcerate those convicted and sentenced for violating these laws.
Prohibitions of consumer desired products are always going to produce and promote a 'black market', enrich those willing to avail themselves of the opportunities created by the artificially inflated value of those products prohibited and reduce our overall freedoms, safety and civility.
History is a broken record, repeating itself over and over and over and over........

SO BECAUSE .0001% OF THE POPULATION MAKES $ ON DRUGS WE SHOULD "PACK IT IN" SO THEY DON'T MAKE THAT MONEY? WRONG! DRUGS ARE A DETRIMENT TO OUR SOCIETY ... NO MATTER THEY TOLD YOU AT U of C BERKELEY. SURE ... YOU TAKE AWAY THE INCENTIVE OF THE DEALER WHEN DOPE IS LEGALIZED.... BUT WHAT ABOUT THE "USER?" ---You INCREASE their incentive do you not? So a couple of major players get their bank accounts depleted due to legalization/taxing ... but a whole lot of new crack cocaine users now emerge .... worth it for you? OK for YOUR kid to buy some "crack" at Walgreens? Dad? It's OK kid ... at least a big company is getting rich, and not some Ghetto rat drug dealer" Toke up, young son, all is well in liberal never-never land. Yes. Your arguements are as well-thought-out as Daley's speeches .... take your financial arguments and stick them up you dork ass. Yes history does repeat itself, and we have a history of over-simplyifing "problem solvers" like you who never fully think out a problem ... Dork

you forgot less vehicle traffic, drunk drivers, police fighters, medical waste, service calls, and robbing folks.
I don't mind hearing the all call messages, no matter how many there are a night. What I do care about is how the dispatcher can't speak clearly enough for anyone to even comprehend what they are trying to say. Put some pronounciation into what you're saying, it's not supposed to be all one word slurs.
ANY all call message is worthless if you can't understand a FREAKIN thing they are sayin!!!!!!!!!
I do not,I also do not eat flamin hot cheetos and drink grape soda.
================
Get it straight.....it's red pop and pork grinds.
"SO BECAUSE .0001% OF THE POPULATION MAKES $ ON DRUGS..."
Either your lack of math skills are showing or, more likely, your lack of honesty. (far be it for me to suggest that you lack intelligence, though that's also a possible explanation for your posted opinion)
Were I to presume that the generous owners of this blog would welcome the lengthy post needed to educate you on this subject, I'd attempt to, but I'm not going to be that presumptuous.
Suffice to say that legalization, combined with regulations, taxation, honest and truthful education, standards of quality of efficacy and potency, (just like in the 'legitimate' drug industry), with an honest and scientifically accurate assessment and understanding of the effects these so-called 'detrimental' substances actually have on a given person's dynamic metabolism, (also just like in the 'legitimate' drug industry), would achieve what this bogus 'war on drugs' has failed to achieve, (and was likely designed to fail to achieve), namely, a society and environment that successfully enables it's citizens to be free to enjoy their Constitutional Rights, those being Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
You do believe in Freedom, right?
Add up the actual amounts of money being made, from the actual sources and from the actual beneficiaries, then try to sell that '.0001%' bullshit.
"DRUGS ARE A DETRIMENT TO OUR SOCIETY ..."
Tell that to all those who are clamoring for full drug coverage from their medical insurance companies.
Tell that to those medical professionals whose primary treatments for their patients is writing a prescription for, surprise, surprise, drugs.
Tell that to those whose first thought, when they don't feel well, is to pop some pills into their pie holes.
Tell that to the pharmaceutical companies spending boo coo bucks to promote the dependence on drugs as the primary means to solve everybody's physical, emotional and psychological 'problems'.
Funny thing is, your comment purports to be critical of 'liberalism', yet, you support the paternal imposition, (presumably for their own good), of the weight of criminal laws, and the consequences of their imposition, onto all citizens, regardless of their right to freely live their lives as they see fit.
You sound more like a liberal than a conservative, touting for government to protect the citizens from themselves.
Or are you really a 'conservative' enjoying the financial benefits of this current version of Prohibition?
