I/G Supervisor Arrested
A female employee of the Chicago Office of the Inspector General was charged with theft from a Northwest Side grocery store Saturday afternoon.
About 12:55 p.m. a woman allegedly stole items from a Whole Foods Market grocery store at 6020 N. Cicero Ave., according to police News Affairs Director Monique Bond.
The woman, who is an employee of the Chicago Office of the Inspector General, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft for apparently stealing “grocery items” from the store, Bond said.
According to Inspector General David Hoffman, the employee is 36-year-old Tracy Buckley.
If we're reading this article correctly, she's been with the Inspector General's office since age 22 or 23. Therefore, a hold-over from previous I/G's. Who's her clout?

She's actually a Chief Investigator. I met her, she appeared to be very grounded. She talked about her kids, husband, and wears "mom jeans." She's blond, blue eyed, and looks like a middle America house wife. You just never know about anyone really. But, if her defense, I have been walking around in Borders with my 2 kids and a diaper bag, and put a book in a diaper bag and remembered when I got to chack out. Maybe she made an innocent mistake?
Who is her clout that got her the job?
Give her a break, she hasn't gone to trial yet. This story sounds like something I would read in the times. SCC repost this story after the trial with the results.

Clout Sgt M.P. in in 022 verbally attacks officers after roll call. Chasing him down the hallway all the way to the W/C office, yelling "Shut up"!!!!, "Shut up"!!!! If Hoffman doesn't fire her, then he's protecting his own. I'm sure she'll be cleared, (it'll be a misunderstanding, not misdemeanor) and she'll be back to her cushy job, take home car, as always with a welcome back party.
Whole Foods is way to expensive! But if you're making 75k and on a tight budget, just shop at Trader Joe's.

I work with one of Tracy's "good friends" and she was calling of their friends from work today explaining what really went down. She was walking with her cart throughout the building and had a laps in judgement and didn't even think she walked out of the store. She needed to get her money out of the car so she left her cart parked by the door. The store security stopped her and asked why she was stealing from them. She tried to explain but the security guard became abusive towards her and called the police. Police took her to jail and of course they didn't have a place to stick her. She said the offier apologized and tried to help her and said this would be thrown out of court anyways. Tracy's friend's dad also got her in the best lawyer in Chicago... so once he has the case dismissed she said they are filing a lawsuit against wholefoods for false arrest. I was laughing my ass off listening to this story repeated alllllllllllll day long!
