- A Chicago police officer and another man have been arrested and charged in an alleged scheme to frame the man's estranged wife on drug and gun charges, the Cook County state's attorney's office said Tuesday.

I was very mad the other day people. I had to go upstairs at the desk to retrieve my coffee and (OMG - OH MY GOD) almost had to do a report! I was told I was to never work on the street by a former boss. He does not want me to get hurt because he said I was the best worker on his watch. And I must be since all the other bosses kept me inside.
When I almost had to write a report I told them to go back to where it happened and call 911 so the boyz on the beat car can handle it. Whew, it was close!
One of the boyz made a nasty comment, saying I'm a typical do nothing broad, and I wanted to say.. no-no, I collect radios and sit on the W/C's file cabinet and swing my legs and get paid over
$60K to fuck with people, that is hard work.
The boyz on the watch can be so mean sometimes.
When I checked off, always around 3 am, the boyz give me dirty looks. They just wish they could have me!

I don't know if SP had total knowledge, but he knew enough to create a false report and perjure himself multiple times in court to "help" a friend. Think about that. There is a meatball (civilian); who liked to tip a few jars with the police (off-duty of course), that lives in the west end of 8 that tried to "recruit" cops for almost the same thing. This was about 10 years ago. Except his was "the ex-ol' lady is running books for the mob". Then he tried the "I saw her carrying an envelope full of cash from the bettings and drop it off to limo out in O'Hare". He also eluded to the possibility of drugs being involved. The truth of it is, this guy was a bad alcoholic, she left and it was a bad divorce.

And if you think the tax payers of 12 and 13 are going to go down without a fight you are wrong. 12 doesn't have a new station because the city's shady move. The medical district gives the city the parcel of land for the only purpose that a new police station will be put in that place. Well the city sees it as a gold mine and starts pitching it to corporations. And viola! the city sells it for an easy 10 mil and tells the medical district thank you for the land but we will sell the land. I hope IMD sues to get the land back.

If you took a detour on your way from 35th Street to Mt. Greesewood you would observe a new 7th District Station 50% completed at 63rd & Loomis. There are other old stations besides 12 & 13. Good luck on the next dicks test.

I remember the night 025 opened after they chopped off the north end of 015 and the west end of 014th. Those of us stuck in 015 that didn't make the transfer order sat in Columbus Park, drinking coffee from the joint next to the CTA turnaround at Madison and Austin. They did a survey and there was nowhere on the midnites to get anything to eat. So we could cross Division to go into 025 for lunch. All the gumbas that made it to the new district laughed at us like we were a bunch of assholes. Yeah, they got the new district and all the bullshit that went with it. None of this surprises me.
Bring back Iron Joe Curtain! Bring back the Gallows! Restore 025 to her former glory! Ho ho ho, 30 days!

This officer worked day and night and IS a solid officer. He ran circles around most of us.
He is admired by many of us who worked with him, and was envyed by many jealous types who couldn't do 10% of the activity he did.
Maybe.. he stepped on his dick. Who on this job can say they have never fucked up once or twice?
His heart was always in the right place, but sometimes youth, zealousness, and inexperience have a way of getting us in trouble on this job. Hopefully, he'll be judged and remembered for all the good work he did. But I have a feeling he'll be judged and remembered for the "one bad arrest" that bit him!
I've had so many old timers on this job tell me stories of "that one time that they almost got bit bad," but survived it. Then ultimately do alot of good on this job, retire, and collect a pension.

Expanding on your own words I believe the proper status for Officer Plewa is currently "INNOCENT until proven guilty", so at this point why would it be so surprising to you to find his fellow officers supporting him?
That he would still be a-okay with everyone if found guilty is purely your own presumption rather than any deduction of facts. If guilty, you'll not have far to search to find officers who will vilify him for his actions.
Since I don't have all the facts of the case I prefer to see what the outcome is before passing judgment on Plewa. You should try that approach yourself sometime rather than standing against our boy in blue waaaaaaaaaaaaay before the evidence is in. You should try that approach yourself sometime rather than standing against our boy in blue waaaaaaaaaaaaay before the evidence is in. As it stands you've already assassinated the character of Plewa, his supporters and the members of the Chicago Police Department at large long before any determination has been made. Sorry that is your perception.
Perhaps my point is not clear. I did not say this Plewa was guilty. However, when an officer IS found guilty, sometimes by their very own admission, they glean support I don't feel they deserve and there is a divide even among officers. Birds of a feather flock together and it makes one question the other birds. You are who you associate with.
Not unethical but its hard not to err on the side of caution about handing out such strong support for someone who may or may not be guilty given the state of events eminating from the department lately and opinions expressed by members of the department even when someone has been found guilty.
I don't know this Plewa and I don't have to work with him. However, I can understand those close to him and their reasons for showing support. That's so very nice. However, I just assume skeptically stay on the fence rather than be swayed by any of his cheerleaders. If he or anyone accused of something didn't do anything wrong of course I hope it gets taken care of expeditiously.
The only people damaging the character of the any department where there is wrongdoing are the officers foudn guilty of doing things wrong. You can thank them and how it's handled by their continuous stream of supporters who wrecklessly put themselves in a position to eat their words later for any rush to judgment or lack of trust when a new scandal surfaces.
