Homicide Cleared - Others Occur

One good job wrapping this one up:
  • Four Chicago teens were charged this week in the beating death of a 17-year-old boy in the Park Manor neighborhood and arrest warrants were issued for two juveniles who also may have been involved.
One 18-year old, three 17-year olds and looking for two other juveniles who think it's appropriate to beat someone to death with bricks. How touching.

And then these homicides:
The killing rate stays high and the clearance rate, unfortunately, doesn't seem to be moving.

It was a nice gesture by Daley and Jody Weis to send letters in support of Mike Mette like that. But to get things back on track, here is what they need to do:

Settle the contract, before Christmas. A long term deal is OK for the hallowed Olympics if most raises due in the first 5 years (we know they won’t be large) are heavily front loaded with the puny 1% or 2% etc at the END of that time, not the beginning.

Then, after 5 years there could be a wages only reopener, not the whole contract, only wages.

This needs to be a fair contract, swiftly settled. That would send a message, cheap talk in the media is all bullshit.

Times might get hard; the City will need us more than ever. Get things back on track, get this thing settled NOW.

Twelve students from Lincoln Park High School -- one girl and 11 boys -- were arrested after several fights broke out at the school Friday, Chicago Police said.

Eight arrests followed a fist fight that erupted outside the school around 8:30 a.m., police said.

One male student suffered a split lip and had some teeth knocked out, a schools spokesman said.

A second fight erupted around 10 a.m., leading to three arrests, and a fight an hour later resulted in one arrest.

So this isn't just a south/west side thang?

Time for hizzoner to outlaw all new bricks in the city of Shitcago.

Old pre-existing bricks will have to be registered at $60.00 each. So go count the number of bricks in your house and get ready to write a hefty check.

Come on now, kids will be kids. They grow up too fast as it is, so let them have their fun. It does look like another volume of parenting success stories is in the works. The CPS might as well start handing out IR#'s in kindergarten.

If you take away the homicide angle, this incident kinda reminds me of the harmless stuff I used to do as a yute growing up in the shadows of St. Juliana Parish. Good times '70s Edison Park taken to the next level for the new millennium!

Hear ye, hear ye all!

In order to stem the rising tide of physical violence towards others within the corporate limits of the City of Chicago and the larger Kingdom of Daley, without additional hirings or purchases of new technology, forthwith, with no statute of limitations, homicidal thoughts involving the use of any and all items or body parts as a weapon, are to be reported to the police department and registered in the Kingdom of Daley.

Appropriate enforcement actions will be taken as soon as the budget problem is solved, so, until further notice, all residents ever having had a homicidal thought, under any circumstances, are to consider themselves under house arrest.

Further, when approached by authorities in regards to said homicidal thoughts, all are commanded to surrender without incident. When formally charged, no plea other than guilty is acceptable. At that time, all property, monetary and otherwise, will be forfeited and become the property of the Kingdom. As soon as a sufficient amount of presecutions have concluded, the budget crisis will be solved, however, prosecutions will continue until all have been found guilty.

Yours in Olympic glory,
King Richard II.

All people should google " risk to 457 plans" and see what orange county did to their employees deferred comp. It is one mess. The city owns that money until you retire. Orange County took some risks and now the employees are paying for it.

The one place where there is almost twice as much violent crime as Area 1, three times as much as Area 4/5, and more than 10 times as much crime as Area 3. Not to mention that outside the west end of 022, there's not a single citizen in Area 2 who has ever willingly cooperated in a police investigation.

It's the police's fault. Those dicks are the problem. They are the reason clearance rates are low.

When someone writes “who is John Galt?” they mean, “ow well, what can I do about it?”
It was a catchphrase in Ayn Rand’s book: “Atlas Shrugged”, which involves a necessary group of people who deliberately stop doing their job/function in society in response to a corrupt and illogical government that is taking everything away from them and they, by their inaction or sticking to the letter of regulations take the whole system down…sound familiar ?
As apropos: Ayn Rand was harassed and investigated by the FBI.
