- With about two months left in the year, Chicago has already surpassed last year’s total homicide count.
Two teenage boys shot and killed during a fight on an Englewood street Thursday evening were the latest victims.The deaths of Brian Murdock, 15, and Quinton Buckner, 17, brought the total number of people killed to at least 446, according to reports from the Sun-Times News Group wire. At the end of 2007, 443 homicides were recorded in the city.
The official homicide count through Oct. 31 was 441, a 16.4 percent increase over last year at that time.

Add another 100-200 for overdoses, suicides and accidentals which are really homicides. Bad but still not close to the 70's. Don't forget the ER's are better and so are the MD's.

The two CPS students shot and killed near 63rd and Laflin on Thursday are not the angels they are being portrayed as in the media. The two were with a third person, a friend of theirs, when they were shot. One of the dead "students" had noticeable buck teeth. Surprise, surprise, there are multiple armed robbery reports from that area of Englewood with three offenders. One of the offenders is described as having buck teeth on several case reports. The two dead "students" and their friend have all ready been identified in a photo spread by a victim of a recent armed robbery. OEMC was called by several citizens after a picture of one of the "students" was shown on local television news. The callers said the "student" was one of the three guys that robbed them. More photo spreads with more robbery victims are planned. Looks like they tried to rob the wrong person this time.

The truth is out there!
Let me break it down very simply for you! First of im gonna use their number against them. 13,000 officers right. Well if we have 13,000 officers then what is 10% 1300 (too many) ok what is 1% 130 (too many) ok what is .005% 65( too many) ok what is .0025% (32.5) ok this number is still high but lets go with it. we had less than a quarter of one percent of our officers who were rogue cops. They beat up bartenders, they did the sos scandals, they beat people up at bars with pool balls. All this was highlighted in the media. Nobody cared that the other 99.75% of the officers were doing the right thing.
So what happened. Daley forgot about the 99.75% percent of the officers who were doing the right thing and brought in this federal agent! With No police experience. A slap in the face to many. This guy said anyone that messes up I will not only fire but prosecute!And he proved that! On top of that you had all these ministers and alderman screaming that the system was flawed. That there was no police supervision. (No more ops) That police were violating people rights!(put cameras in the cars) They wanted a patty cake dept. They didn't want a proactive dept. They wanted a reactive dept.
Well they got it! It has been a snow ball effect. Add in the fact the police do not have a contract now for over 16months and the morale is down. Police are still responding to calls and people in need. But as far as going out of their way to be proactive and get in trouble for doing something slightly twisted is out of the question. Who wants to get in trouble for anything. From Now on everything will be conducted by the book. In Turn what happens! Now Murder rate has SKYROCKETED and crime is through the roof! Now the ministers and alderman aren't screaming that the police are violating peoples rights and stopping them for no reason, rather stating that there aren't enough police men out there! Now is it that there aren't enough police out there? or is it the simple fact that u beat them down so bad (killing morale,no contract,6day work week,bringing an outsider who knows nothing about the dept or about policing and pay him 300,000 a year while screaming the budget is tight) just to name a few and now they are wondering why no one is pumped up to go above and beyond the call of duty. There is no doubt in my mind that we have the best officers in the nation.
Just because a few bad apples ruined the bunch Daley jumped on his knee jerk reaction impulse to do numerous bone head decisions! police were like pit-bulls ready to jump on any type of crime and nip it in the butt before it even started. Then you guys took out their teeth and declawed them and told them to go out and play nice! You might as well send out a chihuahua out there.
If you guys want safety and order back lets get rid of this imposter! send him back to philly with his bad suits. Lets get these police a raise! Lets get these guys a good schedule. Lets promote from within. Someone who we can proudly say wore the uniform throughout his career.

OT: Anyone try to buy their own AR-15 lately? There just aren't any for sale. Ever since wednesday morning, people have been buying them and .223 Remington faster than it can be shipped! I received an e-mail that they were on sale for $700 at a particular supplier at 6am. By 10am, their stock was exhausted. Hey guys and gals: pay particular attention to today's agreement between the city and various labor unions. The city may be asking us before long to take unpaid furlough days just like the other unions. Contact our union president via e mail etc and protest this possible/probable request. Then the city can blame the police for its budget woes. We have seen this movie before.
