More Daley Lies Exposed
Is it just us or does the press seem a bit more willing to point them out?
Mayor Daley acknowledged today that he took multiple trips — as he put it, “I don’t remember all of ‘em” — aboard a $31 million jet owned by a non-profit organization under investigation by the IRS and Congress.
Daley changed his story one week after City Hall insisted that a September 2006 trip to Singapore was the mayor’s only flight courtesy of EduCap, a multi-billion student loan charity under the microscope for allegedly abusing its tax-exempt status.
"...changed his story" is a polite euphemism for "lied through his teeth to a willing press corp which then publishes the lies to an ignorant populace."
So now the question becomes did Shortshanks declare these generouspayoffs "gifts" properly on his taxes? Or his Ethics statements? Or at all? CBS, not exactly a paragon of responsible reporting, hasn't yet disavowed it's statement that Daley took 58 flights on EduCap's private jet. At the First Class rate, that's more than chump change.
Perhaps Shortshanks is suffering from that Kass-labeled malady that seems to affect Daley whenever questions arise about his scruples? Fed-heimer's disease. IT sure seems to pop up a lot lately.

Don't forget that Maggie was making $100,000 as a consultant to the "charity". I heard that in the either late 1990's or early 2000's she was making $75,000 per year for a Pat Ryan charity.

If Daley is so squeaky clean, why not let the Feds see all the details surrounding his administrations dealings ? Ethics not applicable for Mayor & Alderman ?

The question is not only if he declared these trips as income. The bigger questions is: Did he claim them as expenses on his taxes. Did he LIE and state that those trips were paid for with either public or campaign funds? Is there someone with the balls to question it going to look and publish what they find? His campaign statments and his income tax records are public records.
So is the city budget and mayoral expense reports.

The following incident is a completely TRUE statement about Daley and his "posse" of (fool) advisors that travel around with him because my girlfriend was one of the people "uprooted" :
A few years back, Daley and crew were in Denver for some mayoral junket. When they were to return to Chicago, they were running late so they called the airport and had United Airlines hold up the plane. That meant that the 100's of other passengers on this sold out flight to Chicago had to sit around the airport and wait for Hizzoner. That's no big deal, but the following is a complete waste of power in my opinion - Daley gets to the airport and finds out that the plane is overbooked, surprise, surprise and that one of his flunkies has been assigned to coach class and not first class. Daley throws a hissy fit. Not one of his staffers but Hizzoner himself starts to pull the "I'm Mayor Daley, this is beneath me" routine at the gate check in desk. United Airlines literally has to pull all the first class passengers, who are already in their seats, off of the plane, gives all of the seats to Daley and his fools and makes the other first class passengers take the next flight (no vouchers given for future free flights or discounts, no apologies from United, nada)This move then throws off the seating plans for all the next flights to Chicago for that entire day. So, to get one more seat for one more flunkie, Daley literally has all of first class cleared and flies back with empty, extra seats in first class.
Now this may sound like a lame story but think about it. My girl hasn't voted for Daley since and almost spits every time she sees his name posted anywhere. The more Daley and crew do these stupid, power trip bullshit stunts of theirs, not only are they wasting money but they are leaving paths of pissed off potential voters in their midst.

You may get your wish sooner then you think. I guy I know works in one of the Sun Slimes distribution plant. He says they whacked about 50 jobs from his department and the scuttlebutt is the Sun Times is going out of business by years end. I most say that the city voters have to be stupid to continue to vote for this theif. These aldermen are doing nothing but driving people and businesses out of this city. I avoid taking my family downtown because it cost a fortune to park and any tickets are expensive. Now to go downtown you will need to bring rolls of quarters with you.

What kills me is that everybody KNOWS Daley's a shitbird liar. They've known it for decades. It's like the media and the feds are only interested in catching him and proving it in the public eye of the media, then they just walk away.
It's just widely accepted that Daley's a liar, politically corrupt and guilty of breaking several laws every year as well as pissing on the public trust.
Because it's Daley, it's just to be expected I guess. Kind of like the mildly retarded cousin that gets instroduced at the party, and everyone goes, "well, what you gonna do, you know?"
This shithead has on countless occasions and under full public scrutiny purposely misdirected public tax money into the pockets of his largest contributors, making personal friends rich from those tax dollars, lied to the public ON CAMERA and then gets caught doing the opposite, and absolutely nothing is done about it.

All we can hope for is that Shortshanks gets the early morning vist from the Feds like Blago did. But then again isn't that why he hired J-Fool, To keep Shortshanks safe from this. Since I had to file a City of Chicago Ethics Form, (the Green one), I suggest you file a freedom of information request and review the mayor's form.
It would tell you if he, or his spouse had any dealing with any agency doing business with the city, or made over $2500.00 doing anything. Could be interesting reading. and don't stop with Richie, get Mel's, and Dickson's, and Weis's and the list goes on. As Deep Throat said, "Follow the money."
