Blackhawks in the Playoffs

For the first time in 7 years:
  • Nikolai Khabibulin made 25 saves, and Jonathan Toews scored his team-leading 32nd goal as the Chicago Blackhawks clinched their first playoff berth in seven years by beating the Nashville Predators on Friday night.

Samuel Pahlsson scored in the first period and Martin Havlat added an empty-net goal for the Blackhawks, who qualified for the postseason for only the second time in 11 seasons.
Rocky Wirtz is making all sorts of moves his old man would never have made and is really making Chicago a hockey town again. Congratulations.

Oh, and the Bears got some quarterback the other day.

They better play a lot better than they have or they will be first-round casulties. It was nice to see a Blackhawks playoff berth though. We've sat through a lot of lean years in the 300 section, watching a lot of bad teams play a lot of bad hockey. I don't see a Stanley Cup run this year, but this team will be a serious threat in the years to come.

Ohhhhh..... So THAT'S his name. I thought he was one of those 3 name guys like John Wilkes Booth or James Earl Jones. Nickolai Javi (like Javier) Boulin. Who knew? Before Rocky took charge of the Blackhawks even lifelong Chicagoans weren't sure who was on the team or what their names were. Someone asked me the other day who the Head Coach was and I confidently said "Denis Sevard."

Go Blackhawks!!!!!!!!!!!

The motto this year:

"One Goal"

I understand it BUT we will need more than one goal a game to win these playoffs!!!

GO HAWKS!!!!

what happened to "kaner"-- since the high ankle sprain he looks a little gun shy in the corners-- hey kid-- if you want to make the real money you have to make a sacrifice and that means you get hurt once in awhile-- hawks will win first round of playoffs but will run out of gas in second round. get the golf clubs ready.

What is the song the Blackhawks play after a goal! I know they play "Go Johnny Go"! when Toews scores and "Rock you like a Hurricane" for Kane but I really like that tune after the other players score right after the horn!

Go Blackhawks!

Chelsea Dagger by the Fratellis is the tune.

I love my BLACKHAWKS but I dont expect them to go far in the playoffs. I just want to see them get past the first round.THAT WOULD BE HUGE!!!!!
By the way off the ice Patrick Kane is suppose to be an arrogant little prick. Is that an east coast thing?
GO BLACKHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!

How original. *rolls eyes*

The Flyers have a lot of young talent and they will only get better over time.

Now Biron - he's a scrub. I'll be happy when he no longer wears a Flyers sweater.

Best of luck to the Hawks.

Go Flyers!

I joined Facebook and it was a huge mistake. Stalker central.

Bastard wouldn't leave me alone so I got rid of everything and decided to start new.

Go Flyers.
