Whoops!

Don't know how this one slipped past us. Don't know why the media isn't giving it bigger coverage either:
  • State Representative Annazette Collins was robbed at gunpoint by a masked man on Chicago's South Side.

The legislator from Chicago was with her sister walking near 61st and Woodlawn around 8 p.m. Sunday. They told police a gunman wearing a black ski mask and skull cap demanded a purse. He took Collins' bag and fled on foot.

    Neither woman was hurt.

Investigators say the theft happened in a courtyard that was unsecured because of a glitch due to the new area code that requires 11-digit dialing.

Just kidding! We know exactly why no one is giving this big coverage. And so does everyone reading.

OT - Kass on Judge LeRoy Martin Jr.

"How about if we all vote "nay" the next time Martin is up for retention? Martin may find it unsettling, nay, repugnant, to look for a nonpolitical job."

Yes, Kass said this after the former CPD Supt's little boy, (now a judge), sided with convicted arsonist and former CFD Lt. Jeffrey "Matches" Boyle and awarded him his full CFD firefighters pension while he sits in prison as a CONVICTED FELON!!!

OT - Abate video on news, AGAIN!

Legendary girl bartender beater, Anthony Abate, is on the news again as he went before the Police Board to try to keep his job. Didn't help himself much by pleading the 5th on nearly 100 occasions during questioning by Police Board members.

And, OF COURSE, it just gives the TV media the opportunity to run that damn bar beating video over and over again.

Have you seen this man? Grab him when you see him. He robbed our politician!

"Police described the robber as African-American, 20 to 26 years old, 5-foot-6 and 130 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask and black skull cap."

The best was at the end of the article, willomina says "the bigger question is waht we have done as a community to fail this young man" HAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Even ater getting robbed at gun point, a certain community refuses to hold responsible those who commit the crimes... just like on a bigger scale how we are all a bunch of racists for saying "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH... LOCK THEM UP AND THROW AWAY THE DAMN KEY!!!" Im sure the "how have WE failed THEM" works great in a sociology class, but I think America is at a tipping point! TIME TO GET TOUGH!!!

Want to know why Daley isn't in prison and how 9/11 could happen without detection?

FBI Tracked Studs Terkel For 45 Years
November 18, 2009 4:14 AM

Chicago storyteller Studs Terkel, the author, radio host, actor and activist who died last year at 96, had the FBI tracking him as a suspected communist for 45 years!

It started in 1945 when he worked with the BBC on a piece about the "sordid side of life in Chicago", and his file ends in 1990, when agents clipped a Wall Street Journal article quoting his reaction to financier Michael Milken's junk-bond scandal.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ * }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Damn! If the FBI would have dedicated 45 WEEKS to Bin Laden or Daley instead of 45 YEARS on Terkel, how much better off would we be today?

45 years is like TWO full FBI careers. And for what?

I wonder how many years they tracked that OTHER well known terrorist, Dr. Seuss? Imagine how many lives were saved by monitoring the likes of Terkel or Seuss! And OMG, what about those wild religious rantings in Terkel's tomes, "Working", "American Dreams", or "Division Street"? And how about Seuss's "The Cat In The Hat", "Green Eggs And Ham", and "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish".

If only someone at the FBI had a brain! They're really just a bunch of scarecrows like in "The Wizard of Oz".

KARMA'S A BITCH!

"Annazette Collins, 48, a former federal correctional officer, said Black youth do not really understand guns and they are more fascinated with them than anything else, which is why schools should provide gun education to them by the first grade."

“Downstate kids do not shoot each other up because they learned about guns growing up. So they know how to clean guns, how to properly load guns and how to safely store them. Our kids are not taught this so they go learn on their own and the end result is Black-on-Black crime.”

"Collins suggested the legal age to purchase a handgun in Illinois should be lowered to 18 from 21."

http://www.chicagodefender.com/article-6542-state-legislator-proposes-gun-education-for-youth.html

So, let's review.

Rep. Collins says not knowing how to clean, load and safely store a gun is the cause of Black-on-Black crime!

She wants to lower the age for gun ownership to 18, teach kids gun education by the first grade, (in a city where guns are illegal), and believes her plan will REDUCE
Black-on-Black crime.

CAN YOU SAY SHIT FOR BRAINS!

In fairness, her statements were made BEFORE she became a robbery victim and was forced to stare down the barrel of a handgun. I don't know if she is still quite as liberal thinking today as when she made her gun comments.

On a side note, I get a little nervous and edgy when I hear Black people talk about wanting to end Black-on-Black crime. I mean, shouldn't they just be advocating an end to crime IN GENERAL? Otherwise, it just makes it sound like all they really want is to stop being victimized themselves in favor of all other races becoming victims of Black criminals!

Anonymous, Collins never said that crime was caused by not knowing cleaning procedures.

What she was saying was that a lot of inner-city kids looked at guns, especially swoopy black handguns, as talismans of power and respect. That they didn't really understand the consequences that would come from shooting someone until it was too late. Obviously that's not true of a lot of the people doing the shooting, robbing and looting in Chicago, but when you hear about some 15-year-old kid shooting some 16-year-old over nothing, do you really think that kid has thought everything through and soberly decided that shooting somebody is likely to end well?

You've tried banning guns in Chicago. It has utterly failed. Not only that, but it's less than a year away from being destroyed by the Supreme Court because it's clearly unConstitutional.

Now that you've done such a good job of arguing that Collins deserved to be robbed at gunpoint because she was so stupid as to advocate gun safety education, I'd like you to continue with your thoughts and explain why gun safety education in public schools would be a bad thing.
Please.

By the way, the measure Collins voted against (I actually hadn't realized she voted against it) contained no language aiming it at "gang bangers." It simply increased the penalties for violating Chicago ordinances on firearm possession.

The simple way to do that would be to charge people with UUW under the state statutes. But I suppose that was unacceptable because the state's UUW law at least allows people to transport their firearms as long as they wait a month and undergo a stringent background check to get a FOID card, then transport the gun unloaded inside a container or a case.

I guess Chicago was experiencing a rash of "gang-bangers" with no criminal or mental health history who carried unloaded firearms completely enclosed in boxes or cases, right?

Shortshanks even had the gall to cry about the state's "weak" penalties for UUW, "like spitting on the sidewalk," in an interview with WLS at the beginning of November. The interviewer didn't question him about where in the U.S. it's a felony to spit on the sidewalk.

Face it, Chicago gun laws are worthless and Collins should be applauded for having the sense to think about them instead of being a rubber stamp.
