Densey and Mary Update
The Coles continue to maintain a lead of over 7,300 votes. But March has barely begun and there are still 24 days left to run up the totals.
We'd like to thank everyone who has voted so far, everyone who has sent out e-mails, updated social networking sites and pushed big media outlets like Howard Stern and Instapundit to give a shout out or a link to Densey and Mary's story. We've also been informed a number of copper sites, bulletin boards and blogs have linked to the Coles - if anyone can point us to their sites, we'd like provide them a link on the right hand side so we can continue networking nationally.
Keep those votes coming in.

I just hope that when it is all said and done, the sponsor does the right thing. The rules state that THEY will choose from the TOP 50 vote getters. THEY are under no obligation to choose the HIGHEST vote getter.
With a clear runaway vote getter, as Densey and Mary are (so far) proving to be, it would seem that the sponsors would be hard pressed to award their prize to ANY OTHER CONTESTANT.
Chriss Cosgriff, the guy who started the ODMP and policelink blog wants to do a story on Densey to help the cause. If anyone can pass his info on to him it would be appreciated.

This Louisiana EMT has been pushing the cause, too. By a quick check of my site meter, I can tell that he's steered a couple of thousand people in Mary and Densey's direction. (And he just reposted in his weekly Twitter feed, as well.)

Howard Stern is trying to work in an interview with Mary and Densey....... Mary has pneumonia, and is very sick.....She has to wear a mask now for at least 10 days so Densey does not catch a cold...... This is a very hard time for them both, their spirits are very high about this contest and they are seeing a very bright light at the end of the tunnel......... People, let's not let them down!!!!!!! Pass this on to every blog, every site, every email you have so you can get the vote out...... Mary and Densey came from a 2000 deficit to now leading by 7386 points at this moment. The second place couple put in a big push this weekend...... Mary and Densey lost 1/6 of their LEAD....... 1000 points in one day.... Mary and Densey are still in the lead, but as SCC said........... Keep the votes coming..... I have hit everyone from Howard Stern to every LEO site i could on facebook and beyond. People are passing out flyers at churches etc....... We all can do our part for a most deserving couple.... Please do not get lazy with this.
And YES as another poster said.......... SEND THEM A GIFT!!!!!! I did....... Random acts of kindness are fabulous....... It makes the soul feel good.
Mary is very grateful to everyone that is doing their part.....As NYPD's Thee Rant says...... BUMP IT!!! Keep it up on top of posts...... BUMP IT!!!!
Oh I truly hope that Officer Cole's personal care attendants see to it that they keep a close watch on him so that he is not exposed to any infection. Lord knows that is a very dangerous thing for him. Prayers for them to get healthy!

I wish Densey did have personal care attendants. They don't. Mary spoke to me and said that they have to FIGHT for every single thing they need. She says it has not been an easy road..... Mary was able to get in a nurse to care for her and Densey the past 2 days. Her mother and brother was there to help, cook and clean. Mary went to the Doctors today. She is on a nebulizer, and medication to help with the pneumonia. Lets all pray she gets well soon and Densey recovery is swift. They both have a great spirit and are forever hopeful.
I can't imagine being in their spot, and the strength they both have. LOVE is the tie that binds.
Everyone please take a moment and vote for them if you havent already. Spread the word.
Please send them a gift as well. She has glasses and cutlery that are $3 a piece. The shipping is minimal as the taxes are. Let's help mary have a lovely kitchen and all the thing that she would need to in her home and kitchen. TY SCC for keeping this posted up here on your Blog. You are an angel.

Chris now has Mary and Densey's info and has contacted them to do a story.
This is very important to be posted so that the Coles will be informed. Densey is guaranteed around the clock personal care attendants by the city. This is has been true since he returned to Chgo. He needs to get in touch with F.O.P. Phil Cline,& I'm sure Mrs. Mullen could assist him with the proper people to set him up. From day one, the idea that one person would be taking care of his needs was impossible & could have led to the confusion. There have been many offers of help which have been refused for whatever reason, now the time has come to do what truly is best for Densey. THE CITY CANNOT DENEY CARE.
I HOPE THIS CONTEST IS LEGIT. I'VE BEEN TELLING EVERYONE.
