The references are so obvious in hindsight that it's a wonder no one discovered this before. We've also heard that there are hidden messages in some of Nostradamus' predictions that allude to past or concurrent events. We're looking for more.

I predict there will be many shake ups soon to come at 35th street. J-Fled will have his Kool Aid nice and chilled. IPRA at the behest of Jody Weis routinely take videos of working coppers out of context to burn them to save money for the city and to further their political agendas. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, will Jody be served up to the political hack police board?? Will he sue them if he gets fired? Will they disregard any evidence he has to offer in his defence? Once again some brothers are associating the St. Jude March with J-Fled.
No comparison could be further apart.
Historically, marching at St Jude honors all our departed brothers and sisters.

If work or family obligations prevent your participation at St. Jude, another event deserves our recognition.
Again this year our Honor Guard will march 24 hours in a row in military fashion (ala Tomb of the Unknown in Arlington) in front of OUR Memorial with an hourly, "Changing of the Guard."
I would hope someone could post the exact date(s) but I believe it's midnight to midnight 28-29 April 2010.
If you can stop and visit during this time, please do so. If you are working, and can just drive by at any hour... 'light up the blue' as you slowly drive past.
It would be a great 'unofficial' additional way to, "Honor Our Fallen."
A symbolic, 24 hr. 'CPD Memorial Drive-By'... yet another way to honor that, "Thin Blue Line."

Did anyone read Neil Steinberg's article today regarding the cpd vs. cfd football game. Steinberg stated cpd has 15,000 members, cpd does not have a physical fitness aspect (referencing that the average cpd has a "beer kegs worth of fat strapped to his stomach", the police have no fitness requirement other than a pulse, and the cfd has youth (referring that cpd members are old). HEY Neil don't criticize the police who may one day have to protect you again while you show your courage by having your fat ass make comments from behind a desk in an office. You have just showed your respect for the police and also show you have as much courage as J-FLED. FUCK both of you Jagoffs!!!!

Sad to say he probably came back from the dead, talked with the politicians from the City of Chicago, the FOP, and your incredbily incompetent mayor, and said, "Fuck them all. The world's ending in 2012 anyway, so don't give them their just due."
It really sucks for you guys. Big time.
The PPD thought they'd have to wait forever for their contract, but they got a pretty good deal after some wait, but the FOP came through for them, especially with doing away with the residency requirement. I know there were some things the officers weren't happy about, but most felt overall it was a good deal.
I sincerely hope things work out for you all soon.

I went to my first call of a police officer shot when I was 4 weeks on the street and still on probation. Shooter opened up on an FTO with a sawed off M1 carbine. I followed my own FTO, he never hesitated, we ran toward the scene to help as we could.
That is what I was trained to do, by the example of better people than I and I always remember that lesson. To run toward danger is an unnatural act. We have to lose old instincts and develop new ones to do that.
A good boss, even a superintendent, would be right there with us, along side, letting us know by his presence that he is one of us, he is right there.
weis' presence on the scene of a shooting would have meant much more than his presence in the fusion center looking at video monitors or wherever he slunk off to.
What is done is done, He acted on his instinct, like he did with Bill Cozzi, And those instinctual acts of a career fbi administrator were wrong as the top cop of Chicago. jody weis was never cut out for this job, it is as simple as that. He doesn't belong here and the sooner he and daley realize that the sooner we can begin to come back together as a department.
Gosh, for a moment there I thought it was real!!
However, there is not a single line of Nostramus's prediction that even ever hint of Cubs WS win......just saying...
