Crime Drops Again!
For almost two straight years now! It's like J-Fled is a miracle worker or something:
Overall crime in Chicago dropped by nearly 4 percent in November, with overall violent crimes dropping by 10 percent, Chicago police officials said.
Superintendent Jody Weis announced November's crime statistics Sunday, saying the decrease amounted to the 23rd consecutive month of lower overall crime in the city.
Though officials touted the decrease in violent crimes, auto thefts in the city continued to climb. There was a 22.6 percent rise last month compared with the same time last year.
Now if you grab the nearest passerby on the street and ask them how they feel about crime (which we actually did tonight at a few random corners), they give you a completely different story. They use words like "war zone," "out-of-control," "shooting all night," and our personal favorite - "no polices around."
The drop of 12 murders is statistically a wash. The increase in police murders drives the completely opposite viewpoint.
Remember, it's the perception of crime that worries elections and politicians.
But back to J-Fled's "statistics." At the current level of crime reduction, we actually owe 2011 seven murders already, along with twenty-seven robberies, thirty-eight aggravated assaults, and a handful of CSA's. There will also be no vehicle thefts allowed as we have exceeded the allotment for 2011.

I know no one's doing much besides answering jobs....but if there's paper to write and you make it a Part I....BOOM! Crime just went up!

Reports classified as Justifiable Homicides (Police Shooting, citizens who kill someone protecting their life or property), Involuntary Manslaughters do not count towards the homicide numbers, even though they are homicides

Auto theft is the only stat that can't be down graded or cooked. It either is or isn't. Thats the reason why its up. But I do have an idea! The feds could develop a UCR for a "Lost vehicle" then auto theft could go down too! Damn I am good!
I feel sooooo fucking safe now. Maybe I'll sell back all of the pistols and semi-auto rifles I just bought. I could beat then into plow shares but I will wait a while cause Weis has been known to lie. Just sometimes.

Just redraw the cities boundaries for murders for example.
Cut out Englewood and the west side and call them something else like fringe areas. See city crime is down.

Oakland, CA., just across a bridge from us, at least, is honest---They KNOW how violent they are, and their Chief (Batts) is in DC trying to loosen up purse strings to get additional "Anti-Violence" program funds.
I sure hope those programs include more police, with better arms, and better body armor, because they're going to need them.

Only reported crime is down. People just get tired of trying to report property crime. The police usually do'nt come out, and folks are told to call 311.
When you try to call 311, they are busy, and put you on hold. Then they give you the option of having them call you for a report anywhere from 2 to 6 hrs. Who wants to wait around?

They are different from the one we got a few years ago.
Why didn't one of those two and three wonders on Jody's staff think, issue the same ribbons (Green & White) and add a little star to the ribbon you already have if you have the award.

Maybe they can make a new UCR for domestic related auto thefts. Call it Unauthorized Vehicular Borrowing. And it's only a misdemeanor.
Someone is messing with these numbers BIG TIME, you cannot tell me or convince me that the homicide numbers are legit, they are not reporting them correctly or maybe just late.
I recently retired, prior to that, I was at a community meeting, and I asked the people if they actually believed that crime was down ? The response HELL NO!
Even the police don't think crime is down. I do believe that crime reporting is down, look at the calls for service - wait 4-5 hours for a burglary or robbery report, when the car finally arrives, 19B, no one found, or they don't answer the door etc.
Heck, I have seen persons shot, went to the hospital, the job goes out and no one responds, so about a month later, the victim is calling police to make the report... (more than just a few cases too)... it is a joke... and really, JPW should stop having press conferences for this skewed statistic, even if it isn't by design....

Whenever I see him on TV he's always trying to put a good spin on whatever he is talking about. After the arrest of Flisk's murderer he used the phrase "great case" numerous times. What a pathetic, phony, full of shit prick he truly is. There was absolutely nothing "GREAT" about this horrific act.
