Six in a single afternoon:
- At least six people, including a 16-year-old boy, were injured this afternoon in shootings and stabbings across the city, Chicago police said.
None of the reported attacks resulted in fatal or life-threatening injuries, police said, citing early reports. - Police hadn’t made any arrests in any of the incidents and offered no motives.

Five males ranging in age from 17 to 26 were criminally charged tonight in connection with an early morning beating in West Rogers Park that left a man seriously injured, authorities said.
An argument erupted between the 41-year-old man and the group, leading one member of the group, Walter Gonzalez, 18, to punch the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground, police said.

Well, 9.5 becomes mayor next week, so maybe HE will consider this a priority. Richie sure didn't.
Well, once the system's in place to eliminate half the bullshit 911 calls, we'll have more time to walk the beat, sweating the small stuff and being proactive in general.
Once this is implemented and running like a well-oiled machine, we can expect dramatic declines in aggravated batteries and tomfoolery across the crime indices board.
In the meantime, chalk up eight more girls killed tonight by Yours Truly. Eight St. Pauli Girls, that is.

it makes you want to puke when you hear all the accolades being given to our departing mayor and what a great service he performed to chicago---- a real pro--- 600 million dollar budget gap, 40,000 pissed off city workers, 2.7 million pissed off citizens, highest gas tax in country, a broke cta and cps, the most violent city in america, a severly under funded city employee pension system that will cost billions of dollars to keep it solvent past the next 10 years--- he is such a good man and did such a good job....

No shit, like even the non life threatening injuries aren't costing the county thousands of dollars in hospital bills that aren't going to be paid.
These jags have to learn kill shots in the ghetto it counts and would save us the taxpayers so much future money,in link and welfare,I am hoping and praying that a Berbard Gertz or Charles Bronson (RIP) character arises and moves forward to kill these pos especially on Michigan ave,the current crop of bosses have done a shit job by letting the animals attack the tourists and daley knows about it but with his entourage of gun toting coppers,even after he retires he has no fear!

Yes, all crime is horrible, but I think what the poster meant to say is that black on black crime has reached horrible levels.
