Suicide? Or Other?
Things like this make us wonder of someone isn't fudging numbers somewhere along the line
- Questions don't die at the Cook County morgue in the case of a Chicago Catholic priest who was stabbed more than 20 times. His death was ruled a suicide.
The I-Team has been told that the body of Father Waclaw Jamroz is going to be exhumed so a full autopsy can be done. The exhumation will come two and a half years after the Cook County medical examiner chose not to do a full examination.
Without a complete autopsy, questions about the priest's death have festered - questions that some experts and his family say are disturbing and unanswered.
Of course, the fact that this is Chuck Goudie, notorious stretcher of the truth, casts a whole boatload of suspicion the other direction. But someone stabbed 20 times ought to be looked at more closely in our opinions.

Can someone please tell me where they found Nancy Jones, our county coroner? She was the most qualified to handle a morgue as big as cook county?
Hopefully his body isn't buried in Poland. I googled his name and an article said he was found in a locked bathroom. I doubt the findings will change. Other than the body, any evidences from two years ago is long gone.

He fell on a knife 20 times. Case closed. Probably the same detectives who handled the David Koschman case involving Daley's nephew Vanecko.
I saw 8 once, 7 shallow hesitation indicated, 1 the full dirk.
This story reminds me of the Hobart, Ind man who was hit in the head 32 times and Hobart PD ruled it a suicide. Coroner said it was impossible for someone to pummel themselves 32 times with a hammer while still being conscious.

Nancy Jones has been with the M.E. office for decades. She is extremely competent. Being a retired homicide detective I have had a lot of contact with Dr. Jones. She is nothing but professional. This is a political assassination by Preckwinkle and the cook county board.
Any confirmed information on the LOCATION of the stab wounds? Did the priest bleed out with no punctures of vital organs?

The sad truth is that a suicide victim may do the most unbelievable things to kill themselves, like step into a burning fireplace, or stab themselves many many times...that's why you need experienced investigators. Not all is always it seems.

They want to exhume the body so they can make it accidental. He slipped and fell on the knife 20 times. Come on everybody should have known that.
Nancy Jones is actually a very sharp lady. I've dealt with her personally, and I was very impressed.
I knew Father Jamroz, he was a likable man deeply rooted in his faith. I didn't see his suicide coming, but could tell that he wanted to be more holy than any human could possibly be. He was very dedicated to his faith, and even though his death is a sad reality, I never questioned the suicide finding, even though there wasn’t a full post mortem exam done. The evidence I became aware of lent credibility to the M.E’s cursory exam. Remember, the ME’s findings have to be balanced with the physical evidence and totality of each circumstance for a factual and reasonable finding. I can believe Father Jamroz would be disappointed in himself for any injudicious thought he may have had, or for his inability to become even more holy. He was returned to his native Poland and buried near his family. The results from a new autopsy in Poland will not change the initial finding. Knowing him, even as distantly as I did, I could believe that he was punishing or purifying himself from what he considered an impurity and injured himself severely in the process. RIP Father Jamroz. Leave the little boy- altar boy thing out, it’s not an element in this incident. Yes, I’m sure
Suicide in the Catholic Faith is considered "the unforgivable sin."
He was a Catholic priest so this is an important matter to the family.
He was found in a locked bathroom and it was reported he had shown signs of strange behavior and did not leave a note.
"Stabbed 20 times" if examined may show that some of the wounds were "hesitation cuts" and may be all on the front of the body. People who use sharp instruments for suicide attempts often fail because they have hesitation cuts and have to build up to a fatal bleed out.
There may be pressure in Poland to have this declared a homicide then it will land in our laps to investigate it as a Cold case.
In any case God Rest his troubled soul.

I have to agree. The last think we need is a political hack running the autopsies.
About 20 years ago there was a guy who tore his own throat out with his hands while running around. Doctor at ER said there is no way somebody could do that to himself. Incident ended up being caught on video in a sandwich shop. Without the video, it would have gone down as a homicide. Never underestimate what people can do to themselves.
This must have been an Area 3 Investigation. They would have concluded the Gacy murders were 33 suicides.
