Showcase Chicago

  • A man was found shot to death in an alley in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side this morning , making him the third person slain since last night in shootings that left 17 others wounded citywide.

Police responded to a call of shots fired at 7:29 a.m. and found the unidentified man in an alley in the 6200 block of South Rhodes Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head....
Nice night and three dead, seventeen wounded. But remember, weather has nothing to do with the crime rate. And the crime rate is down anyway, right?

Of course, of course crime is down.

Don't look over here at the 20 people shot and three dead on Friday night.

No-no-no look over here at the Kabuki Theater going on in Washington instead as a Chicago PD Sargent is paraded around in front of the NATO dignitaries to show them how safe Chicago is.

Why this man stopped an armed robbery and freed six hostages that were ducked taped.

See that man. Those coppers in Chicago are ruff and tumble and don't kid around.

Hey... not to diss this officer it's just that he's being used as a tool to create an illusion while some of us are standing in the streets that are raining lead and flowing in blood up to our hips now.

What's the weather for NATO suppose to be? 80 degrees and 10% chance of rain.

2 dead Sat night into Sunday. 1 in 014 and one in 016. Great job to McNuts and the Raccoon for their ideas and strategies. The shit is really working! Maybe we should let the dept deplete another 500 or so without replacements.

40~49 mutilated bodies dumped on the side of the road in mexico the other day by the drug cartels. the chicago media prints the story like they're shocked at this "bloody, violent, gang war".

The only thing chicago doesn't have yet is better aim, heads inside ice coolers outside the city hall and bodies hanging from bridges. but give it time. we're importing the culture here and the zones of impunity are already there.

Loud reports, shots fires.. oh no we're sick of hearing it. Squad that was just fireworks nineteen-paul.

Nice job mayor. chicago is NOT a world class city. chicago is a third world city and we have all the drug gang wars and the political corruption to prove it.

Have you guys noticed the political theater? Yeah one sgt got his award in Washington and we congratulate him even though he was use as a tool for NATO propaganda. Act two was the immigrant US citizen swearing in ceremony by the mayor. See..oh lookie...how nicely timed. the mayor of chicago just gave a speech to a bunch of new immigrants that became citizens. oh that proves it. they are, they are a global city..and safe too. did you see the chicago copper that stopped that robbery and save those hostages AND THE CHILDREN! boy oh boy they are ruff and tumble. that's how you use a crisis my friends. it's not about the sgt, it's not about the children. it's about how you can use these things to promote your personal political/financial gain.

the days of the ruff and tumble cops are gone we're told..until a ruff and tumble story can be played up in the media and be used for a crisis.

sorry folks. this emperor has no clothes.

dont let them kid you
it WILL get worse be fore it gets better
this is just the tip of the ice berg
the only thing keeping us going is the investment of two airports and a rail hub
i think what will happen is (and I hope not)
areas just abandoned to the animals
and the heavely invested parts of the city will be come "green zones" like in iraq and afghan istan
they will pour protetion into those areas and screw the rest

'hood boundaries, like district boundaries, are more difficult to compare when they change

WBBM radio last night said "100 MPH" and "possibly drag racing."

They did it "for the children," I guess.

Uh -- someone missed the mayor's "20 MPH" idea.

How are cameras going to stop people like this?

Four gramdmas just got another load to shoulder -- like they aren't supporting 57 people each already.

On and on and on.

Shut the fuck up and go "protest," Andy.

Guy lives here now 24/7. He's going to miss the whole thing if he doesn't get out of the house.
