its because the dumps on mannheim are close to the blue line and are cheap. They cant get anywhere cheap except in the ghetto and not even the NATO hippies are going to go to a hotel over there. Hotels in bridgview and up and down cicero ave near midway in oak lawn, burbank and bridgeview are sold out also.. they are only a short distance away from the orange line at midway. I had the displeasure of staying in the Best Western on Mannheim near North Ave. What a dump! Was stuck there for a training seminar that lasted a few days. The guy that ran our certification course said he'd never book there ever again. We were the only "lucky" ones.
Awesome. So...in addition to my decision to stay the Hell away from the city during this nonsense, add to that anywhere near the River Road station on the Blue Line. I imagine that will be their main conduit into Asshattery Central.

Last Saturday, Brookfield FD called for a hazmat response to what turned out to be a dozen bottles of urine.
Just checked Midway hotel complex in Bedford Park, and hotels on cicero from 79th to 95th are booked and all with free shuttle service to CTA orange line. Remind your family members that use the trains and buses to be a little more aware of their surroundings this week.

While I agree with most of your posting, it is very hard to follow. I suggest you either type sober or slap your english teacher.
However I do like the hatband comment, only goofs put the hatbands on the mirrors.
US Day of Rage is the clearing house for everything "Occupy". Occutards, anarchists, just about anyone coming to NATO is using this network to organize.
Keyword "couchsurfing". There are a couple of sub-organizations putting Occutards together with local people in order to let them crash out in their homes or pitch tents in their backyards. I venture to guess that local hostels or shelters are putting some up as well. Some of these kids see this as some sort of urban excursion, so any vacant building is fair game as well.
The real troublemakers aren't going to be coming from the suburbs. They are going to be close by.
There are some smart people running this movement, but the average foot soldier is unpredictible and anything can happen.
Let's be careful out there.

They are downtown during the day. Especially south Michigan around the art school , hostel and other young persons hangouts. They are panhandling.. I see more everyday.

That's very interesting. Driving down River Road yesterday afternoon, I saw 6 straggly young adults w/backpacks ducking into thick woods mid-block and thought it suspect. Maybe they're rallying in Cook County Forest Preserve rather than w/Andy. Maybe Preserve police should check whether people are camping there.
It seems to me that if the CTA trains & buses headed inbound to the Loop were spaced out to 20 minutes or more inbetween trains, running four car trains, in the morning during their assembly time this might disrupt their assembly plans.
Also, if their is a clear sign they heading back to their holes, the CTA could then start running some 8 car trains every few minutes outbound.
I'm sure the CTA knows how to handle this - run deadhead trains and skip a few stations.

You sound like a puss. Sometimes these mutts need a crack to bring them back into reality. It's officers like you that make the job more difficult. These mutts can speak to you anyway they want and you do NOTHING. So the next officer that has to deal with them is going to be spoken to like he is also a pussy. You have to exercise tolerence but only to a certain point, we are human after all. I am the police, I do respect the citizens and treat them with dignity but when the line is crossed you have to put them back on the other side.
Hopefully they will experience the horrible traffic on the Kennedy on their way downtown!

The dozen or so clowns staying in 007 are at 5626 sangamon. They are all white and two or three of them might be Hispanic. They were stopped by a few p.o's on second watch a few days ago. Apparently the house they are staying in is owned by some sort of a trust and these people are allowed to stay there. There is no running water so I assume they are just pooping and peeing in bottles. This is just one example of these people staying in private residences. I'm sure there are hundreds or even thousands of similar situations all over the city. Worst part is its hard to get a fix on how many of them there are which is in my opinion the most important thing. You've got all of those hotels, thousands of abandoned buildings all over the city, and I'm sure thousands of people just letting them stay with them for the week. We all have an idea what kind of shit they're gonna pull I just wonder how many of them are actually gonna show on game day. Oh and those idiots staying in 007 have a pet ferret.

Um, no. If there is no running water, the property cannot be used as a residence, Not temporarily, not at all.
Call the health department and the building department. They aren't busy (yet) this week and they will not only move against the occupants, but against the owner.

This is part of the reason I mentioned Pace 352. I haven't seen the tree police anywhere near the woods surrounding Thornton quarry or those to the south. Pace 352 stops just feet from the edge of the woods in several places and connects to the Red Line @ 95th st.
These woods are near my home and I have already walked the abandoned rail line looking for signs recent activity. I'm going back on Sunday for another look-see.
The univrsity of Illinois-Chicago is leasing out dorm rooms to the protesters as their semester has ended.

I contacted PACE, CTA and NICTD(South Shore) today. Metra Electric and NICTD get SS screening because they run under McCormick Place. From what I was told, there is no provision for screening on PACE or CTA at this time.
The PR flacks keep telling the press that this is going to be one big party and economic boon for the city. There is something wrong here, either we are overestimating the Occutards,or city hall is collaborating with them.
