Beach Closings

As the temperatures are going to remain in the mid-to-high 90's for the next few days and the heat index will regularly be topping 100 degrees, we expect that Rahm and McPilgrim will be announcing beach closings due to the high "heat" expected this week and weekend.

You know, just like they did last year at North Avenue when the localized temperatures for just that tiny stretch of lakefront topped a whopping 90 degrees.

Funny how no one in the media ever followed up on that incident.

The media lap dogs in Chicago are shameful enablers of our criminal, communistic politicians. With very few exceptions, they should be ashamed.

My theory as a former member of the media is that with City News gone, nobody is really chasing murder stories anymore or running down ME cases like we once did. It took a lot of courage to do that job because so many of your brethren at the time were very difficult and didn't appreciate the public service we were performing. Having doors slammed in our faces and being hung up on was pretty commonplace, so you had to develop a backbone, and this was the shop where many city reporters were trained. But it is gone now, and a lot of the young reporters are recent college grads who don't regularly cover the streets and don't have the guts or the smarts to cover the street, let alone the halls of power.

NYPD here...fill me in please. I'm assuming the real reason for the closing is the savage behavior of the people at the beach.

Close the beach - open a hydrant.
The problem with water, it was responsible for the Pilgrams coming over and disrupting today's youth.

it's not funny at all. 9.5 is enjoying the same love affair with the media that Shortshanks enjoyed during his first 15 years before him.
John Kass of the Tribune has been on WLS radio this week. Yesterday he told listeners how the rest of the media would get pissed off when he would show at a press conferance during the Daley years. They knew that unlike them he was there to ask the hard questions they would'nt. And that once asked would cause Daley to storm off and not take any more questions, denying them of their little 10 second sound bites for the 6 o'clock news.
Nothing has changed.
Thats why they kiss Emanuals ass.

Do they teach communist propaganda techniques at all the journalism schools or did we just get a pack of communist editors from Pravda after the cold war? How can any self respecting journalist listen to politicians and their police flunkies lie that badly and not follow up on it? There were people there who knew the truth. Why would you cover that up for politicians unless you were in it with them?

Savages acting the way they do on beaches that were formerly family beaches. Knocking people off bikes, smoking blunts, fighting, urinating and defecating on the beach in front of people. The excuse to close JUST THOSE TWO BEACHES was that it was too hot near the cool water.

Stay safe, my NYPD brothers.
