See What Sticks on the Wall
Another scattergun lawsuit:
- The three children of a Chicago man who hung himself in a Chicago Police Department holding cell are suing the city for not properly monitoring their father, alleging the on-duty officers were aware of the man’s propensity to commit suicide.
The lawsuit, filed Thursday in Cook County Circuit Court, says 49-year-old Guillermo Villamil was arrested on Sept. 8 and placed in a lock-up facility in the Hansen Park neighborhood at 5555 W. Grand Ave.
He was placed alone in a cell and not monitored by police officers, the lawsuit said.
The suit makes this allegation:
- The lawsuit alleges police officers were aware of Villamil’s propensity to commit suicide and did not properly monitor him.

Laugh at both of them. "His propensity to commit suicide...". That statement is too freakin' funny.
The city will settle this one out of court like so many others and give the family some $bucks to go away. Doesn't matter if the cops were wrong. And you can't bet the lawyer for the family is connected to someone in the Corporation Council.
LOL at the liberal scum reporter was it mike the pooch relli. Get Andy Shaw my chance on this.
Next...........they will blame George Bush.
Laugh at both, but weep for America.
If the arrestee was exhibitng bizarre behavior and the oficers did nothing or failed to monitor the arrestee, yes the family estate will collect. You have to admit CPD does not have a good record of managing its lockups.
It's Obama's fault.
the family should be billed for all the police service and hell that this guy probably put the citizen through while he was alive.
One less so WTF.
Was this another illegal committing crimes that Americans are not willing to do or not?
Why won't the judge who reads this complaint throw it out at the first court date?

define 'bizarre behavior'.
do not use you post as a part of the definition.
I never met anyone who had a propensity to commit suicide more than once.
It may be funny but they get paid!
how do think this would be handled in mexico? take him down put him out the back door, call the family tell them to come and pick him up. we are expected to understand that when they beat their wives thats ok. in mexico. and the muslims who burn their wives if they are disobedient. the pols are the cause of all this assine behaviour. they would sell their soul to be reelected, and their mother if needed. what ever you do dont offend their voters. its called pc, I call it bs.
I heard he had a propensity to commit other crimes - thus he was in lock-up
But CHING CHING said the kids' lawyer
Equal opportunity, I guess. The city has been paying big bucks to the ghetto lottery for so long, now the Latinos want a barrio lottery payout, too. WTF?
Light up the lockup. Keep the lights on, and turn the tv's off.
The city could pay them off and come out ahead never having to put anymore resources into controlling him
"propensity to commit suicide"
Isn't this an Oxymoron?
Can you really commit suicide more than once?
