Smith said it's unthinkable this could have happened again to the family.
Really? We can name any number of west and south side "families" that have at least that many family members planted in local cemeteries because of poor lifestyle choices. How much did this family managed to drain from taxpayer funds during their short, brutish run on earth?

On the Ricki Lake show, Chambers identified himself as former gang member who turned his life around and was trying to help others stay away from that kind of life.
Not only had he just turned his life around, he was helping others to turn their lives around! A humanitarian! Looks like Rahm ought to ban rap music, too.
- The shooting happened across the street from Safer Foundation North Lawndale, an Illinois Department of Corrections transitional facility for adults with criminal records, and half a block west of a fire station.
Better and better - a halfway house full of people with criminal records AND A firehouse nearby. Better ban both of those, too.

Actually, he was not her play son and was her only surviving child. I went to Jones H.S with Carlos and I recall the day he was killed after school. no carlos did not have four kids, he had none. I'm almost positive his sister did not have any kids yet when she was killed. I don't know about the other two who were killed. SCC, before you choose such a cruel and callous title for your topic you should know some background on this situation. The most recent victim was in his thirties, with no background. One of the first siblings killed in the family was a 15 yeaar old girl who was shot point blank in the head....not in the game. Three months after, the brother was killed in gang crossfire. Not sure about the fourth. Any loss is a tradgedy. We are suppose to be human too.....not to hate at first instict. I had one and can say that if you don't hold it just right it will take a good slice out of the web of your hand. It is very finicky with ammo and tends to jam because of the tight tolerances and the very small ejector port. Also the .380 or .32 ACP just does not have fight ending stopping power.

I looked around when I needed a personal concealment weapon that I still carry into retirement. I have since sold my hand cannon, the big gun I carried on duty.
I bought the Glock Model 26, the "Baby" Glock.
Small, compact, with the curved magazine extensions.
10 round magazines, one in the tube for 11 total in the gun to start.
Night sights. Full power or +P 9mm, not the anemic underpowered .380 or so-called 9mm short.
Loads of concealment holsters available including inside the cargo pants pocket holsters.
Great carry pistol. Only knock is 9mm which some people do not like. Still, 9mm is a duty round all over the country and 11 rounds available!
A slightly smaller weapon with a slimmer frame is made by Ruger but that is still full 9mm. The Ruger LC9. 7 rounds plus one.
Remember, whichever one: practice, practice, practice.
