Ho Hum
- At least [five] people were wounded in shootings across the South Side on Thurssday night, including a 15-year-old boy.
The boy was shot on 73rd Street between Wentworth Avenue and Perry Avenue in the Park Manor neighborhood about 8:50 p.m., police said.
And tomorrow, the sun will rise in the east.

At this point, who cares already? Seriously, if communities and people affected can't ask the much needed questions sans b.s. and racial underpinnings, then the best anyone far enough away from that barbarism can figure is that it must be a cultural thing, or lack of culture if that's the case.
It's like a mini Syria, or Congo. I'm not making fun, either. Groups all shooting each other without any fear or regard for the law or hurting children, old people, or any other innocent victim.

You now have a perfect storm orchestrated intentionally by political and civic "leaders." Rush, Daley, Obama, Ayers, Holder, Preckwinkle, Quinn. Just a few of the names who influenced a do-nothing approach that threatens police officers til they get with the program and stop putting hands on people, plus a Governor who continues to release violent criminals early, an Attorney General who made it clear he wants less black people incarcerated, a County board president who gets praise every time she announces Cook County jail will no longer hold criminals if they are dark skinned. We are in bizarro land.
WTF MAN!!!! VRI is out there but somehow these stupid Motherfuckers are still trying to kill and or Mame each other. They are using alleys, hallways, apt etc... WTF I think we need to bring back the Seat Belt Safety check and start getting these SOB attention when we take the cars for various traffic infractions. I'm just sick of this dumb shit even worried for my child to come home to visit from College so I encouraged him to stay and work where he goes to school.

Looks as if they're getting into a good grove of a steady 8-12 shootings a night. The shot placement will need to improve if the murder rate has any chance of beating last year.

My hood is safe.
We have little police presence (westend of 008) BUT what we do have is citizens and neighbors that do not want this crap near us.
So, we call the police.
We have a S&S Ward Sup that cares about graffiti and as soon as it is reported - it is removed ASAP (usually the same day or the next)
We have an Alderman that could care less about this ward but the citizens that live here want to see it safe and take measures to ensure that it stays that way.
We have a great Ct. Advocacy group that is in Ct. when necessary to let the courts know that we will not tolerate crime in our neighborhood.
When those that live in the area care = you will see change.
When those that live in the area just sit back with their hand out waiting for someone else to do something to help them = no change.

seems all of us have to scrap tooth and nail just get two boxes if you lucky to find what you need. and these guys are blasting away like they own controlling interest in federal and in remington.
