- Seven people were shot -- one fatally -- near Flournoy Street and Francisco Avenue in the Lawndale neighborhood on Chicago's West Side this evening, authorities said.
[...] In this evening's shooting, four people in serious-to-critical condition and one person in fair-to-serious condition were taken to Stroger Hospital, while one person in serious-to-critical and one person in fair-to-serious condition were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, according to the Chicago Fire Department's media office.
One of those victims, a 48-year-old man, was pronounced dead, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The article also says that there was a homicide there on the Fourth of July and another shooting there the night of the 4th/morning of the 5th. So half-a-block in a single district has accounted for 2 dead and 7 wounded.

You're naive. Former U.S. attorney Pat Fitzgerald, no relation to former U.S. senator Peter Fitzgerald, who nominated Pat and then was appointed by George W. Bush as the U.S. attorney for northern Illinois,yes, that two term republican president. Sent a clear message to everyone that nothing would happen to Richie M.criminally today or tomorrow during the photo op while Bush and Daley had lunch in the south loop. So, all of this democRATS,or dumbocrats,or liberals is BS spoon fed in a cult like manner to those that will swallow every bit without question.
