Boo Hoo - Prisoners Cold
Anyone want to bet against the possibility of someone filing a suit over this?
- Part of the Cook County Jail has been without heat for days.
CBS 2 [...] reports one tier in Division 4 – the women’s division – lost heat on Saturday, so the 10 inmates housed there were moved to other areas of the jail.
The night the heat went out on that tier, the outside temperature dropped to as low as 12 degrees in Chicago.
According to the Cook County Sheriff’s office, the 10 inmates on the tier were given extra blankets right away, after the heating unit malfunctioned. The tier was shut down and those inmates were moved to other tiers with heat, while county engineers worked on repairing the broken heating unit.
Boo hoo hoo. Poor chilly prisoners. Dart should drop the inside temps to the mid 50's anyway to cut down on costs, reduce bacteria growth and make the jail a place people don't want to return to - kind of like Sheriff Joe does in Arizona, but adapted for northern climates.

Last summer we were on vacation in Wyoming. We toured the old frontier prision in Rawlins. It didn't have any heat in it from 1901 until 1975. They closed it in 1981. It is a museum now.
That weasel jackass dart would cuddle with the prisoners to keep them warm if it got him votes.

You shouldn't say Sheriff Joe and Dart in the sentence.

Mid 50s is not a good idea. Federal judges get upset if jail isn't comfortable. Besides, AG Eric Holder is angry with Sheriff Joe, and is trying to indict him.
Why don't they just go to the kitchen and turn all the ovens on full blast and leave the doors open?
There is plenty of room in Tommy Dart's basement. He will have to move his John Gacy shrine and exhibit cases into the garage so there should be plenty of room to have all of the cold Mutts over for Thanksgiving.
It's just a bunch of icky girls anyway. Who cares?

Small wonder the heat malfunctioned.
Inmates have used the vents in those cells to fashion shanks, pass goods from floor to floor via homemade rope,and dispose of trash. Fires used to be common.
Is it any wonder the homeboys love it? Three hots & a cot, you know...
We should bring in Sheriff Joe Arpio from Arizona...he treats prisoners like prisoners and make life as miserable as possible so these asshole don't like being locked up....people bitch about him violating civil rights but keep electing him ......
But notice that they are never cold standing on a street corner for hours on end in the middle of Feb.
Only in America! My next door neighbor is from Morocco and he was a guard in a prison over there. The tales he told me scared the shit out of me. He did say that once a person did their time, they hard if ever came back. I wonder why?

That's a Sucker bet. It's guaranteed that Law Suits will be filed over the lack of heat. And not only will they be filed but some asshat judge, or asshat judges, will let it proceed to trial instead if throwing them right in the trash bin where it belongs. As I've seen something 100 times dumber be allowed to waste taxpayers money in a courtroom, to wit:
--- I started working for a new company in 2000 but when I was hired the boss (owner) said to me that he didn't know for how long he could keep me as he and his Company were being sued, sued by an INMATE in Stateville Prison! Here's why: The company had the HVAC contract for Heating-Cooling upgrades in a part of the prison and while the work was in progress somehow this certain prisoner was transfered to a part where the new work wasn't done.
Well this prisoner was also 'mental', a Psycho Fire Bug and he set his cell and HIMSELF ON FIRE. But since the HVAC work wasn't complete -- the Fire Alarm System was also out (it's sometimes part of HVAC contracts under Control Work) -- besides fire damage to the cell, the prisoner gave himself 3rd Degree Burns from the fire. When he recovered, and still in prison, he then SUED everyone involved, the companies and individual workers on the project.
He sued for the fact that he wasn't protected against hurting himself! And YES, some asshole Judge allowed this to go to trial.
Now the prisoner lost and everyone was found to be Not Legally At Fault. But they all had Attorney Bills Up the Ass! The companies and the individual workers, all had to hire separate lawyers to defend themselves in this BULLSHIT Lawsuit! ---
So will lawsuits be filed over no heat, You Fricken Betcha!
Maybe they did it on purpose to keep the smell down.

That's because they are used to having the heat on hell when at home!
I visited a jail in Albania. 6 guys in a two man cell, a hole in the floor for a shitter, practically bread and water, spotty electricity for the one bulb ceiling light (if it worked). To those prisoners County would seem like club med.
No sympathy from me.
Engine 93's heat was out at the same time. Guess how many hours passed before someone came to look at it.
More than 40. Convicts come first.
Who gives a shit about these scumbags except bleeding heart liberal politicians and judges. Where's the concern for the seniors in this country who worked all their lives, paid taxes, and now have to live on increased medicare payments and decreased social security benefits, so this country can contribute more money to the parasites of society.
