Mayhem Continues
- A man who was shot on the West Side this afternoon during what police said was a gang related incident has died, authorities said.
The victim was pronounced dead at 2:15 p.m. at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. His identity is not being made public yet.
There were a couple others shot yesterday, but according to our readers in 011, this guy had body armor on and a rifle, so he probably wasn't up to any good.

On Saturday night 10pm news had a piece about the family of victim that was beaten to death in Lincoln Park on Fullerton Ave. They were passing out flyers and looking for info.
The news said that according to police report, the victim was beaten to death and that the Police Department has opened a Death Investigation.
For the non-police public reading this, that means that this is considered a non-criminal incident and little, if any, follow-up investigation will be done.
This case is on it's way being CLOSED/NON-CRIMINAL...if what the news said is accurate.
Nice to see the local residents being themselves on tv for the Maywood school fire coverage. The camera men on all channels tried to pan away as long as they could. bet they went back to the station and asked for a security detail.

If Rahm Emanuel and Garry McCarthy were around during the holocaust they would probably count the number of mass graves as deaths instead of the number of people because crime is down and Compstats don't lie, don't you think?

A soon to be high school grad was asked about attending college. The answer was a gleeful yes with intended studies in an emerging growth industry. The graduating senior is planning to study mortuary science with aspirations of becoming a funeral director. Makes sense, doesn’t it. Death in Chicago is a cash cow growth industry with no end to the death industry’s expansion and enormous potential in sight. Focused like a laser beam on jobs of the future is the strategy.
Its beats getting stuck with a high five or six figure tuition bill from intellectual giants like Northwestern U, Northeastern U, Harold Washington University, Truman College and Columbia College. After all, their grads are underemployed seeking dead end jobs as coffee hustling confectionaries at Starbucks in this endless depression-era soup line economy. Would you like to Supersize your gluten-free fratte mocha cappuccino latte for three dollars more? How’s that for Hope & Change and visions of the new America.

And if they get caught again fudging the numbers, they will just count it a month or two later like they have been doing. How can they expect the public to have faith in the numbers when the police themselves don't have faith in the numbers because they know they are being manipulated. Say what you want, but this did not happen under the past few superintendents.
And another juvenile killed Sunday afternoon. 15 year old shot dead. How is Garry still the superintendents? He has failed. His strategies are a failure and he failed the citizens of Chicago. Really, he has to go. Bring some new blood in with fresh ideas and strategies.

No of course not, unless you are committing a felony while wearing some then you're in double extra trouble.
