Naughty Rahm

The local media turning on Rahm?
  • Hey SCC,

Off topic! But SPIN, Spin, Spin of a different sort!

ABC 7 I-Team, is doing a news report, on this Mondays Newscast, 05-May-2014 @ 2200 hrs.

On how he allows his people to blow through Red lights and Speed cameras recklessly!

I wonder how the City Hall Spin Doctors going to spin this!

Mayor Rahm Believes he is higher and Exempt from any laws or rules as it is in Chicago, like he is some Emperor!

    Can't wait to see it!
Of course, since Rahm isn't actually driving, he'll deny any culpability for being transported about by coppers who recklessly disregard red light and speed cameras. We'll bet that they even park illegally waiting for his highness.

And while all this goes on, Rahm is raising taxes by $750 million, spending like he's found a money tree, using TIF funding as a personal piggy bank and preparing to default on a required $600 million payment to our pension fund in an effort to bankrupt it.

No I-Team report on that for some reason.

He will claim he is hurrying to do more, ever more, for 'the children' and so this behavior is not just allowed, but should be encouraged.

All hail the new dictator.

They are going to spin it that he is soooooooo IMPORTANT that he can't be delayed like he is some sort of KING being carried around...... It don't matter though because the law is written so that emergency vehicles are exempt from the tickets. But it's for the children that is why he has to blow the lights and speed so the children can see the KING....

Any of you people that can't see this tools spin is SOFT.

Rahm is a careless mayor who refuses to listen to city residents. Taxpayers do not want to pay for a DePaul Basketball Stadium, Maggie Park, a new North-side High School and tens of other things he is planning on 'buying' while he tosses retired city employee's health insurance to Obamacare. Dump the Demorats.

As Mayor, Rahm has to make the tough decisions. In this case he has to decide what is best for the whole city, or just the CPD. In order to save the city, he may not make that pension payment.

Or better yet, to have some clout hacks be "made an example of" after the Rahmster views footage of some reckless wheeling while his spawn is being carted to or from school or playdates with the Pritzker grandkids.

That'd be some sweet irony for selling your soul to the very devil looking to ruin your financial future.

So, do you think thats the right thing to do.?? Screw the hard working men and women of the CPD and CFD who have paid their fair share and sacrificed their lives for this city? It is the city who has been deralict in paying their fair share and skimming money from the pension funds. Why is their money for private businesses and connected contractors, yet no money for your existing obligations?? If you are anti police, please keep your comments of this blog. Listened to talk radio on the way to St Judes this morning. The interviewed Brendon Riley (sp?), an Alderman. Sounds like he is running against Rahm. Didn't state it, but it sounded like it.

I fully expect him to be tossed a big bone or slammed by the Emmanuel cronies, but if he runs, he sound good so far. Not fixing the pension on the backs of the home owners via property tax increase, hire more police so we can do the job, etc..

Got news for you, A**H*LE, things like this are why public perception of us sucks. Why we're collectively treated like children. The Good Old Boys Club died a while back, probably before you came on, son. And I got news for you, that Thin Blue Line has almost been completely erased in case you haven't noticed. Now don't get me wrong .... I never want to see a copper get jammed for shit that happens while doing the right thing or when honest mistakes are made. But you're a damned fool to go to bat for goofs that pull shit like this w/o being justified in doing so. I have enough to worry about for my and my kids safety driving around this shithole city. I don't need some asshole copper plowing into my kid because they were blue-lighting it to get our dickhead mayor home in time for dinner or because they're rushing to pick up his kids or dry cleaning somewhere. Wait til you see the shit his drivers pull (I've seen it already) that is TOTALLY IRRESPONSIBLE, DANGEROUS AND UNNECESSARY. I will tell you this much, I'd sue the shit out of any copper that hits me or mine while driving like a prick without justification. In conclusion, YOURE what's wrong with today's policemen junior. That leaves only two places left to obtain the needed funds to pay what is owed to the pensions:

Eliminate the taxpayer theft known as TIFF

Eliminate the tax free status' of all the connected corporate welfare thieves in Chicago.

On the state level, notice how all the big players pay NO corporate taxes whatsoever, and a large percentage of those actually get the state to PAY THEM BACK ALL THE INCOME TAXES PAID BY THEIR EMPLOYEES!!!!

That's right, not only do a fair amount of corporate welfare thieves NOT pay taxes, they also get a CHECK IN THE MAIL BACK CONSISTING OF ALL THE INCOME TAXES PAID BY THEIR EMPLOYEES!!

How's THAT for shitting on the taxpayers?

Yes, an attempt to bankrupt the funds is not out or the realm of things to come. I heard that their is a position that each fund stands alone and the city has no obligation to fund it beyond what the law calls for and he is attempting to change the law that calls for that extra money to be deposited in the fund. So, lets see what transpires in the coming year.

This is the absolute truth! The city can pay pension up front tomorrow in one lump sum. It can then easily piecemeal the rest and rahm manufacturing money Emmanuel can raise money too. I would challenge him, raise money for good, not your own private agenda mr. Mayor...

Ahh the trolls say its ok Rahm is endangering kids. Anyone left in the City supporting Rahm in the next city election loves this overrated hypocrite and should move back to DC with him.

On the commercial, it shows the license plates blurred out. Why?

5/04/2014 12:16:00 AM

Cant imagine why, Illinois has special plates for mayors-- 000 C over B. Shouldn't be that hard to figure out..Will come back registered to the city anyways.

I remember one of Daley's was M8880

I Fart In Your General Direction said...
While it'll probably never happen, I'd love to see every offending suckass D3 "Security Specialist" catch a day or three for flagrantly disobeying/ignoring multiple traffic control devices while carting around 9-Point-5's scrawny ass or running his errands.

They need to catch a day or 3 just for being effing sellouts. And treated like pariahs like another person wrote. Fucking whores blinded by a quick buck and taken care of by clout on top of it. I bleed blue but I really don't mind when a clout heavy JO steps on his dick and has to pay the piper. It makes me warm and tingly when some a-hole that thinks they are untouchable gets his PP whacked. The guys I came on and worked with wouldn't work on that detail for captains pay, we were raised right and have intestinal fortitude. A real man doesn't kiss the ass and bend over backwards for ANY other man- especially one trying to fuck over every other cop. I fart in your gen direction is on target and so is the guy that says those who work Rahms detail should be ostracized.
Rant over thanks SCC

This is nothing more then a May T.V. ratings fluff piece for ABC WLS 7 news. Every past mayor of Chicago had the green light to speed, pass threw red lights safely and mini motorcade swiftly threw out our city streets. As a child to an adult I can remember seeing the two car detail moving fast, wondering if that was the mayor's detail that had just passed by. The cars always stood out. Clean and shiny. They moved with authority. Just a thought to any Chicago news media outlet, you guys want to win the big May T.V. ratings sweep? Run an in depth news story on why the National Guard has not yet been deployed on the streets of Chicago. Do you really think the citizens of Chicago care if our mayor's security team moves fast? As resident's we expect they do. They are doing there job.

"Anybody but Rahm" has turned into "this guy sounds good"! Anybody know anything else about him?

Worked for Madigan. One of the most pompous, arrogant assholes ever. If he runs, it's because Madigan wants Tiny Dancer gone.

Original poster is correct.

5/04/2014 04:45:00 PM

Brother, so upset over a post and now we are running over you kids? Take a breath and please call EAP. Your reaction to this is way over the top, and the language was unnecessary. You are going to end up as the guy shaking his fist when the kids ball goes on your lawn.

As for traffic laws: When I am in the squad I speed, disregard traffic controls and have thrown my dinner out the window. All of this I have done without my emergency equipment on, but rest assured I was working on something. I cannot explain to every citizen I have cut off, or gotten in front of without a turn signal, I hope they understand it's part of the job.

I am not simple, I know there are abuses with power, just not all the time.

Yet Rahm will run again and he will win. I hear he has $11M in his war chest. In three short years. I guess all those kickbacks add up fast. Yet everyone will develop amnesia and vote him back in.

Wow. All the corruption in this city and this is the best the news can do? Talk about King Tutu's drivers going through red lights?

Wake up to reality my friend. The mayor of Chicago does not have to speed anywhere. He's just not that important. He doesn't send out armies to international hot spots, he doesn't carry nuclear codes, and the city won't really give a shit if anything happens to him. Life will just go on. He speeds through the streets ONLY to get on time to: ballgames, dinners, bullshit meetings, events, photo ops and, simply, because he can. That's what power hungry ego maniacs do.

Geez, who cares. Most of us speed, turn right on red, or disobey red lights at 3AM on our way home. THis is a non issue. Get pissed at Rahm for what he is trying to do with our pensions, not the fact that he cant even see over the backseat while his driver speeds or goes through a red light!
