Light Weekend

It's almost like winter again:
Add in a few outlying shootings and the odd homicide and we might actually have less than 25 people shot for the first time in a month.

The strategies must be working again after taking all of April off. Welcome back Strategies!

SCC come on now. Father Phaker had a rally this weekend. The community finally sees the light. All is well. I am going to head downtown and spend several hundred dollars on parking and a hamburger.

Facetiousness aside, consider the savage beast temporarily soothed due to that one inexplicable force that has baffled sociologists for generations:

F.O.T.M.E.C.P., also known as the "First of the Month Entitlement Check Phenomenon" is known to produce episodes of relative calm and increased lethargy in certain demographics.

This effect gradually wanes, rekindling the propensity for violence and criminality in a relationship best described as inversely proportional.

What's all this science mumbo-jumbo mean????

Answer: give the usual suspects a few days to spend that "free" loot, and it'll be back to business as usual before you can say "Safe Passage".

When the DOJ and the CIA arm Al-Qaeda with weapons and, run guns to mexican drug cartels, what kind of FOID card do these people need?

What kind of background checks do they do when they turnover shoulder fired anti-aircraft weapons to people like that Syrian rebels?

How about stopping the Investment Bankers that are laundering the drug money -- because, as we are preached to non-stop the "Broken Windows" crime fighting that says: stopping the little crimes prevents the larger ones from happening.

Ah-ha, here's another murder -- with car as weapon -- I found by chance.

-->> Police: Pedestrian Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In McKinley Park May 3, 2014 9:50 AM

--- CHICAGO (CBS) || 'A Chicago man is dead tonight after a traffic altercation escalates into violence. Investigators say the car crash in McKinley Park early Saturday morning was intentional. Police say the 24-year-old got into an argument with a person in a white SUV, on the 1800 block of W. 33rd Place. Police say Mendez and his friends left their Chevy Cavalier to approach the SUV. That’s when police say the SUV’s driver hit Mendez with the vehicle, killing him.' ---

uhhhh?...since the 'murder weapon' was a car, and not a gun or knife, will McCompStat count this as a Homicide, or have it chalked up something like: 'Death from traffic accident'? And will McClueless go on TV moaning that we need some 'Common Sense Vehicle Control Laws' in Illinois? (/s)

WRT: "

Ah yes!

However the corporate and politically clouted ones need to grown this segment of the population to keep the attention away from their high crimes.

Recently the headlines proclaim UNEMPLOYMENT DROPS- 288K JOBS CREATED!

Woo-fucking-hoo eh! We're coming back baby. /sarc

The unemployment reports are like Garry and Rahm's crime stats tho.

Look closer and you'll find that the size of the labor force is not growing. In fact the number of people that left the labor force was three times the size of the so-called job creation that was just announced. Just shy of one million people.

And of course we should not even mention the turning over of the jobs from living wage positions into burger flippers. The type of jobs whereas the elite ones can tell you that these positions were never designed to be living wage jobs whenever the debates of higher min-wages are brought forth.

Yes. So you see. When are the ivy-league grads with the higher math and science scores going to address this social divide.

The middle class are all just churls and chattel.

Rahm's public schools are not interested in teaching "the children' how to be self sufficient and so you can expect the issue to grow.

Go cower in the corner and wait for the authorities to do something. Is that not the message?

Listen and follow the corporate authorities, your boss, and do only what you are told to do.

Don't think for yourself.

We are suppose to be surprised at this outcome?

Why not plant a garden and grow your own food. Can't do it! City ordinance violation.

Teach a man to fish? Ha, got no money for the license and the season isn't right for what you've just caught. City ordinance violation.

Teach a man to hunt? Gonna need a FOID card for that and some ammo. Political and corporate apparatus certainly don't want that.

The system is broke.

If we are so short officers every weekend, does that mean we don't have enough officers?

That was a rhetorical question of course. We spend millions on overtime every weekend because the current administration has let the Department ranks dwindle to a dangerously low level.

I addition to being short on the weekends, we are shorthanded every day of the week. We have stripped all the manpower from working tax paying District and sent them to keep a lid on the mayhem in the ghetto. Is everyone getting this? Is the Media purposely ignoring this? Why would they?

It looks like the Media is in the politicians pocket and judging by their silence it's impossible to come to any other conclusion.

Been reading comments about businesses and CCW. I believe every time we run across a business that prohibits CCW, give it a post. I enjoyed reading about Orland Mall from a poster. It has been so bad there the last couple of years, I thought I was going to get robbed in the lot by a group of 5. I would never go there without my snub. Now I will not go at all. I will not support any idiotic business that has an open invite for someone to kill or harm me. Had a bad incident at Costco Burbank 2 years ago. A M/1 bodybuilder went in front of me in line screaming I went in front of him. Everyone knew there was no one in line behind me for at least 3 minutes. The clerk rang up his stuff in front of me while I argued with him. They opened another register for me but I had to move. Now I had to go to the parking lot with him out there. Being a female you think they would have had some concern. Glad I was armed. I made sure I knew where he was in the lot. More internet shopping. My UPS man doesn't care that I have a gun. Sorry for the rant but let's keep each other informed.

Takes a lot less for me to leave my whole order on the belt and just walk out. You people see if you can re-shelve the ice cream before it melts, etc. Not my problem.

Lots of competition these days, and there's plenty more ice cream in other stores. Let the manager know that on your way out (if you can find one.)

Actually had an off-the-clock checkergirl who should have been going home follow me out into the lot remonstrating with me one time. Her little heart just beat for that place.

Yet another reason why Dominick's is no more.

Vote for whomever you want in the primary. Vote for the candidate that smells the least in one that counts.

You don't like Jeb. Hillary is a better choice then? Vote for whichever Republican they put up at the end. We cannot take 8 more years of this Progressive agenda. It is weakening our country. It is diminishing our role as a world leader. It is dangerous for our Nation and for the world.
