That Was Messy
- Seven people were killed and at least 23 others have been wounded in separate shootings across the city since Friday evening, including eight shot within the first 30 minutes of June.
After tonight, they're going to have to amend that paragraph about the rate of shootings.

Bye bye Gary .... Time for the next idiot to step in and lie some more
no media mention of shot to the chest 16 y.o. near st. louis and elston. he died
Is there a pool covering Garry's imminent departure yet?

It's that time again, people.

It's not that IAD can't solve the 'who's the blame' game, SCC...It's just that they would have to spread the pain around to so many people (and let's not forget, some of those who blew this whole thing
off have been retired for years). What's interesting
is that Dean Andrews and Walsh haven't been forced
out yet...no reason to keep either of them among
the ranks of real policemen.
You know what's really amazing? How an asshat like
Walsh, who was taken off the case, could still be so
deeply involved in it...even turning up 'missing' files.
Nothing to see here people, move along.
Look upon the shootings as a form of safety valve, letting off pressure. Without the shootings things would build up pressure until they exploded into something much worse than the current rate of shootings. Be glad.
eight shot within the first 30 minutes of June............
Maybe there can be a prize every month for the first person shot that month? Kinda like the first baby of the year where the media is all over the family and they are showered with gifts in recognition of the little one popping out at 12:01am.
Too early for a "Garry watch" SCC.
If, and this is a big if, the ballerina finds himself in serious re-election trouble in a certain community after the first of the year, Garry will be launched and replaced with someone the community approves of.
Right now the ballerina is the only serious candidate no matter how much the polls say people hate him. Why waste the "Garry card" this summer?
His arrogance will be his downfall. There are ways to stop street violence. Paying older police officers overtime to be visible is not one of them.
Is the air clear? Can I have an event number for violent zone 1,346 and put a lunch ticket behind it.
Laundromat = Clean crime scene.
They should do some careful ballistics on those multiple shot cases, more than one might have been shot with one bullet, one bullet equals one shooting, right?
keep sending more po to the southside what about the northwest side, ald oconnor you suck.
Obama care in action!
Next strategy ?
As much blame as could be laid on the political connected cops who interfered in the investigation should be, but what about looking to indict the underlings of Daley? I'm sure there were many who were pulling the strings of the puppet policeman in their quest to please their corrupt political master. I would bet a weeks wages that Daley kept his direct involvement to a minimum and any involvement was face to face in a clandestine and nonchalant meeting somewhere, and the lapdog looking to please their master were hell bent on steering the investigation and manipulating whatever and whoever necessary to get the offender off and keep the political backlash off Daley. The Cops, the Asa's and all of the witnesses were 'got to' so let's look to hold those hacks accountable. I know of a number of criminal charges that are applicable for their actions. At this point any cop who hides the identity of the underlings of Daley that directly or indirectly interfered deserves the final outcome they may face. Lay blame where blame belongs and most of it will not be with the cops-- it will rest with the politicians and their suck-hole assistants.
Looks like he isn't considering future employment in law enforcement or he'd have been gone already
The ironic thing is that the killer spent a few week in a neighboring county jail for murder and is now free as a bird. Pathetic
Let's play politics here... As the "re-election bid heats up, Garry will be gone.

McDrunkenBum is now a pariah in L.E. circles just like his BFF Bernie Kerik...
The members of his fan club (party in a phone booth) aren't saying shit about how the Feds have been in this L.E. gypsy's tracks everywhere he's been and asking questions of his former staff and subordinates.
Compstat and other such foolish attempts to overlay something as God-Awful messy and unpredictable (human element) as Policing with bean-counterism and/or some corporate model, have been widely debunked as catastrophic failures that essentially pits Peter against Paul while those who manage the system are telling everyone that they really don't see the two Apostles rolling around on the ground.
Lunacy...
Maybe McBustout was counting on some national police directorate position under the auspices of Homeland Security like j-fled after a term of inflicting misery upon CPD?
Dolts.
Will Rham take the fall for McJersey????????
