Here's what the ACLU has been posting everywhere they can:
Word from a few e-mailers is these flyers are being posted on lampposts up and down Garfield Boulevard and other venues. A picture or two of that would be appreciated.

- What if someone created a fake ISR? Fake name, fake profile, fake stop and some shady reasons for the stop. Then have the contact number go to a "burner" phone manned by an interested party...someone with an interest in proving the ACLU is using this police provided information to sue the police and steer complaints to IPRA in order to "prove" their allegations of a Department out-of-control.
Of course, this would have to be recorded, a certain violation of wiretapping/eavesdropping statutes. But it would be funny as hell.

Just put down a relative who is unemployed and have them speak to the ACLU on speaker while another person records a video by accident while the person are on the phone.
Post to you tube about a month after the conversation. post using a disconnected phone using an area with a open WIFI.

I'm the sister of an officer and would be happy to have a fake ISR written up on me, follow through when I get called by the ACLU and then will give my story to my friend, a FOX News Network reporter. Nothing would make me happier than sticking it to the ACLU.

9. De-policing the police and decriminalizing crime
The ACLU should be aware that it is illegal to "post bills" on city property. Lamp posts on the public way are city property.
It's against municipal code to post anything to any light pole in the city of Chicago.
10-8-320 Posting bills.
a. No person shall distribute or cause others to distribute, as defined in Section 10-8-325, commercial advertising material by means of posting, sticking, stamping, tacking, painting or otherwise fixing any sign, notice, placard, bill, card, poster, advertisement or other device calculated to attract the attention of the public, to or upon any sidewalk, crosswalk, curb or curbstone, flagstone or any other portion or part of any public way, lamppost, electric light, traffic light, telegraph, telephone or trolley line pole, hydrant, shade tree or tree-box, or upon the piers, columns, trusses, girders, railings, gates or parts of any public bridge or viaduct, or upon any pole box or fixture of the police and fire communications system, except such as may be required by the laws of the state and the ordinances of the city, or on any bus shelter, except that the city may allow the posting of decorative banners in accordance with Section 10-8-340 below.
b. There shall be a rebuttable presumption that any person, business or entity whose goods, services, or activities are promoted in the commercial advertising matter distributed in violation of this section is a person who distributed it or caused it to be distributed.
c. Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be fined not less than $200.00 nor more than $1,000.00 for each offense.
d. In addition, any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be liable to the city for the cost of repair of any damage caused by the hanging, presence or removal of any such sign and for any and all claims arising out of the hanging, presence or removal of any such sign, including any claims relating to signs or the structures upon which they are hung falling on people or property.
There is no way this can be true, I just got an email from Interim Supt D'Escalante that assured me that the ACLU was not actively pursuing action relative to ISR'S. Shame on you for speaking such falsehoods, I'm in shock and dismay over this :-)
Now get out there and do ISRs. Never mind the repercussions we're inside watching TV and working 4 hour tours hoping to get another merit promotion

I am no expert on the subject but this may not be the case. The old wiretapping/eavesdropping statute said that you had to have the consent of both parties, which is common sense. But I recall that that statute was amended or repealed within the last year or two, and the new version said you only needed the consent of one party (huh?).
Anyone else out there who can weigh in with an update?

Given that the ACLU has filed several lawsuits in the past in support of the right to record arguing that the Illinois eavesdropping statute was unconstitutional (at least for public officials), I'm not even sure if they would sign a complaint.

Zuckerberg allegedly got angry at this. I don't have Facebook never have never will. Show your solidarity and get RID of your Facebook pages. Someone needs to step up and break this agreement with the ACLU before anything changes. They have access to all of our ISR's and I'm sure have people ready to check the discrepancies between the ISR and the "stop and frisk." Which even if the ISR was created and truthful there would still be issues and you'll be visiting corporation counsel.

QR codes do not look any different to the eye. What would be a howler is to somehow replace these flyers with ones that have different QR codes. Straight from ACLU website for the state of IL. Their purpose is to file lawsuits on us so they can generate income to continue their agenda. Even though they state that it is for improvements, we all know it is not for improvements and it is all about the $$$. Without the $$$ they would not even bother with any of it.

The aclu proudly totes numbers that suggest police stops that don't result in arrests are intrusive, overzealous, and done as a result of malicious racial based policing. A terry stop when conducted under the belief that a crime will be committed or has been committed usually does not create probable cause to arrest. However it may discourage the suspected offender from committing.said crime (at least temporarily). The number of crimes prevented by our stops can never be quantified. The old adage of moving the bodies from the corners to prevent violence stands in direct conflict with the ACLU's defense of a gang members constitutional right of assembly.
