True? Rumor?

Anyone have the RD number?
  • True story from 3rd district, a police officer gave gang banger POS a receipt after a street stop. Said gang banger used the receipt to google officer and found his home address. Gang banger the next day threatened to go to the officers residence and harm officer and family. Misdemeanor charges on gang banger. All this bc of the receipt, no one cares if you and your family get hurt cops lives don't matter to Rahm Aclu aldercreatures rev runds, etc, just another law of unintended consequences
Yes, we know that they can get your name half-a-dozen ways, and search for it half-a-dozen more, but if actually tied to an ISR receipt, why would anyone ever do one again?

How about you put the name of the Lieutenant, XO, Commander or Deputy demanding activity unless you want to lose your spot?

Does the receipt require full name?? In the online tutorial the example has full name but I can't find anything on the GO about putting full name. Regardless, I am not doing one. I just don't understand why our badge numbers aren't enough? Back in the day having the name worked but now with technology it's simply too dangerous!

This is 100 percent FACT i witnessed both encounters, i will get you the RD# no later then sunday afternoon if you do not get it sooner, it will not change anything bc anybody above Sgt doesnt care about officers at all. Just like the aclu stated when pressed about officer safety "if your officers are scared maybe they should try a new line of work." The aclu all the way up to the president does not care 1 bit if an officer or family gets killed, and literally have said as much

If that is the case, I'd be screaming like a banchee if I were that cop. It's one thing to threaten a cop, they hear it all the time, but don't you ever mess with their families.

YES. This is true. A true POS with gun charges, tattooed face, and the whole nine yards. DO NOT give a receipt. Lock them up or drive by them it is not worth it. Let the silent majority learn the hard way!

The number one way the bad guys can get your identity is via Facebook. Most of us wear uniforms that has our first name initial and last name. Via some websites that publish our salary data they can get our first name. Then they can go to Facebook and look us up. 80% of my station is on Facebook. Now they know what you, your wife, kids, parents, brother in law and other close friends look like and their identity.

The lowly gang banger probably does not have a clue. But sophisticated organizations like drug cartels, upper level bosses of gangs, etc. do have access to complex technology. There are software programs that can scan millions of pictures in seconds. All they need to do is take a photo of you and then the software program can find your profile on Facebook and then all of your relatives.

Don't make the bad guys job easy. There is a reason why my kids and wife are not on facebook.

Minor charges on this gangbanger? Wow! Thanks felony review. I sure hope the union gets involved in this in a big way.The other option is to scribble your name so it is unreadable or misspell your name if you have to print. It makes it harder to find you

We can all thanks the folks at apple, samsung, twitter, facebook, etal. For making personal information on everyone available to the world. Yet they won't decript a terrorist's cell phone even though it was not really his but his employers. We can also thank ourselves for giving these businesses/organizations all the info that the mutts need to find us. Stay fetal and under the radar.

To people saying "doesn't everyone wear a badge with # or name tag?"

1. Name tag isn't full name. You're probably not going to be able to google and find the officer with the last name alone unless it's very unique.
2. Badge #. Who's going to examine that closely let alone remember? Possible but not likely.

OR

You give a thug an ISR with FULL NAME on it... Humm wonder how gangbangers are looking up and finding officer's homes? Naysayers on here must be ACLU, welcome to the blog

I undestand we wear our names and stars on it Uniform, but how many members of the "community" can remember how to spell your name correctly and star number long enough after the encounter to search you as opposed to having a piece of paper with the correct spelling of your name and star they can reference numerous times. Also 100% the POS got the info off of the receipt.

Maybe someone should get the ACLU bosses names, addresses and home telephone numbers and pass them out to the gang bangers on the street. In case they want counsel of course .
And the Judges too.

What Used To Happen When Assholes
Made A Threat Against Policemen:

Said asshole was paraded through every roll call
in the district of occurrence.

Asshole made to repeat threat to attending officers.

Asshole's address, his momma and grandmomma's
addresses, the addresses and names of the nasty
bitches he likes to breed with are given out.

What kind of cars.
The other m/fers he hangs with.

Police rolling by 24/7 to do premise checks...

"Hey! How y'all doin'?"

"What it do, y'all?"

"Nice weather, huh?"

Or roll by and just silently cheese-grille
the fuck out of whoever is sittin'
on the porch...

Don't start none.
Won't be none.

If violence is the only language a
M/Fer understands, Policemen
speak it very fluently.

Parlez-vous today ain't your lucky
day. Fool...

"Hey yo, dis shit ain't funny, Office..."

Why does everybody get the nervous yips when it looks
as if Policemen are going to fight back?

Why so much fear of Policemen justifiably and legally going
"Gorilla Mode?"

Aren't Policemen trained to be extremely dangerous anymore?

Especially when threats are made against wives, children and
loved ones?

"Aren't you cops trained to "take it" and maintain
your professionalism without getting angry?"

Sorry...
We're from a place in time where threatening a Policeman's
home and family was universally understood as being not
just taboo but fraught with peril and bad ju-ju.

Stop writing the damn ISRs you morons. And another thing: STOP pursuing vehicles! I simply cannot believe how many vehicle pursuits I'm still hearing on the radio! WTF is wrong with you guys?!?! It's mind-boggling that CPD coppers are still chasing cars that flee. And going on the radio with it! Listen, you idiots. If that vehicle, or your vehicle, crashes into some innocent driver or pedestrian and they die, YOU ARE FUCKED. This is for your own good. STOP IT! Its a violation of CPD policy and they will fucking hang you if it happens. Wisen up for CHRISTS sake.

There's no fucking reason for officers names to be used in the information/Google age. I've been saying for years that star numbers are the only thing an officer should be providing to any citizen. If the citizen has a complaint he or she can file that complaint with the star number/beat number along with the date and time. It is way too easy to find people with the Internet. The less common your name, the easier it is. You have to be nuts doing ISR's and giving complete strangers your full name on a receipt, especially strangers you suspect as being criminals. This kind of shit just shows how clueless the puppet masters are that come up with these policies and how dumb some officers can really be.

Many years ago in a land not far away the police were respected and this would never happen and if it did the punk would end up at the minimum with a sign over his hospital door "in traction no visitors" or worst case for thug his own peoples would be told and they would take care of business and he would "disappear" "poof" great news that was! Now with the total disrespect of police, started by the government media complex, the elected from the president t all the way down, the police exempt (pathetic) structure, rahm in control its over!

We have each other, we need to make sure we protect each other and police families that is job #1, everything else like the goofs racing around englewood, the west side it does not matter the animals have roamed for years and will continue #bluelivesmatter!

Not to make light of this, but officers have had their lives (and those of their family members) threatened since, like, forever. That will never change. What else can a coward do, but phone in a threat? Not that we shouldn't take precautions, but I would be more worried about a lowlife that actually came to my door. Thank goodness there aren't many of those out there.

A lot of these counter-productive policing ideas, like stop data sheets, came from President Obama's Task Force on 21st Century Policing, which consisted of a couple police chiefs, a lot of lawyers and academics, but not one working police officer. Kind of tells you they arent interested in your opinion.
