Party Bus Operator Words of Wisdom

Maybe this guy ought to be running the city: because his talents are obviously being wasted:
  • The owner of one party bus company in Chicago says a shooting that occurred over the weekend is a symptom of a much larger problem.

Chris Vechio is the owner of Chi Town Party Bus in Chicago.
Lay it on us Chris!
  • While his company did not own the party bus where the shooting took place, he says the shooting is a sad fact of life in Chicago, where there were dozens of shootings this weekend.
Really? The media just finds a guy, who owns a few of these rolling mayhem factories, and now he's the Philosopher King of the Party Bus Scene? Well that is some in-depth journalism right there.
  • Vechio says his company spells out the rules for riders and the driver has the authority to call 9-1-1, or kick unruly passengers off the bus.

“There’s nothing wrong with having a good time, but when it gets out of hand, our thing is the safety of the passengers, but also the safety of our driver and other people outside the vehicle,” he says.
So your drivers are all armed? And sealed in bullet-proof compartments? And there's security on the bus? And you have metal detectors and x-ray machines at the passenger loading area? And you frisk everyone for guns, knives, weapons, alcohol, drugs?

None of that, eh?

Let's not kid each other there Chris - you supply a mobile party room. Drugs, alcohol, strippers, whores - anything goes. And it goes to anyone with the cash up front, willing to pay whatever outrageous fee you charge, to have a bus with tinted windows roll around without anyone being the wiser to what's going on inside - until someone gets beaten, stabbed, raped, overdosed or shot. Then it's suddenly the "symptom of a much larger problem" and not you making a few bucks catering directly to the problem.

You know why some politicians prefer "vice districts?" Because it's in a building that you can watch, inspect and tax. We have a feeling that's the exact opposite to why certain people / folks / Outfit-types prefer the buses.

I remember watching some TV show - WAY BACK in the 1960s where they used Semi-trailers to haul a party and gambling tables around. It was pretty slick. The whole trailer was "the Party Room".

Maybe that will be the next fad. In Chicago, you never know.

Has anyone else ever noticed that many of these "Party Buses" have "PT" license plates, as in Patient Transport. So I suppose that their clients are recovering alcoholics, drug and sex addicts. Perhaps the inside is equipped with oxygen tanks, heart monitors and that gal in that skimpy nurses' outfit with the back fishnet stockings is an actual R.N..

Years ago I use to take my daughter and her friends to concerts, cheerleading games and fireworks displays in my old Ford Windstar minivan. We called it the "Party Bus" and it made daddy the hero. God, how I miss those days.

He is correct. Shootings are a sad fact of life. And those facts are spreading to new neighborhoods.

If we remember correctly, Mistuh Neanderthal
hit it on the head with this descriptive:

"Rolling Cipher" was it?

An unknown thing from who-knows-where,
full of who-knows-what, going no where
in particular?

Before the ongoing street theater of
stripping mojo from The Police and
Policing, you can bet your sweet
bippy that if one of these rolling dens
of Fuckery had risen to a Policeman's
notice, half the district would be on hand
to roll back the lid on one of these accursed
things like a suspect can of King Oscar sardines.

"Fuck y'aw doin' up in here, eh?"

>Krink-Krink-Krink-POP!<

"EEEK! Da Po-leece!"

"M/Fer, you better NOT run!"

Who are we kidding...
Society now demands that The Police
refrain from doing it such a solid by
proactively doing a damned thing now.

Well shit...
Let them ciphers roll and just
whistle for the body snatchers,
a wash-down for the spill-over
and a tow.

Police Like You Have No Friends.
Stay safe doing so...

PT stands for "Public Transportation," not patient transport.

Maybe if all the party busses had bullet proof glass, and everyone was locked in they could...settle their differences without any collateral damage.

Feral youth (RahmKids) allowed to run lawless...what could go wrong with that?
The Party Bus is another form of a rolling ghetto block party, bring that flavor to all of the city.
The owner...his small business is done, high insurance payout or by civil suit.
No complaints signed and offender & victim get to par-tay another day.
For real.

Instead of bike patrols and foot patrols down town just put the party buses on the block. Nobody will be around to run over after the fireworks show begins.

How come there is no problem with party buses when the clientele is a wedding party from a North Shore suburb?

Just what clientele is having the problems????

Is it the Amish? The Norwegians?

Hell SCC, you could frisk for weapons, etc. all day long and still miss something on some of these fat-rolled heaps...

Besides, they get really creative with where you put things - and considering that body cavity searches miss things in prison - I have zero faith on some party bus bouncer.

I'd put the driver in a bulletproof case. Let the schmucks get on and get out of hand. When they do - hit the PA and tell them to cut the shit out. IF they don't, get that bus up to about 30MPH, and SLAM on the brakes (yeah, we don't wanna cause an accident with other vehicles...) - then hit the gas... turn them into ping pong balls for a few minutes and they'll go into "Hell, ole boy ain't playin..." Pull over in a neighborhood different from where they started out, and tell them to get out. They'll know where they are - and either straighten up, or get a beating/shot when they get off the bus.
