As of Sunday evening, Chicago had tallied 9 dead and 40 wounded. It might go higher by the close of business, but it far outstripped the entire Memorial Day weekend. At this rate, Special Ed might be gone before the 4th of July.

Since Lori has said most of these crimes are crimes of poverty does that mean CPD has to reduce poverty in “the community” along with everything else we’re tasked with? Is she going to have accountability Tuesday’s for “the community”??

It might be a good idea for Mayor Lightfoot to send a representative from her office to a few Community Beat meetings in the districts with the most violence or deaths for each week or two week period. Then the representative can experience first hand was goes on at these meetings. And then the representative can talk to the community regarding their responsibility. I’d say that’s a good start.
Maybe these exempts, for starters, could donate some of their salaries to the community to reduce the poverty. Lori pass the hat at your meeting. They could also volunteer at the community centers.

It’s only now a n empty campaign war cry that falsely means something to clueless citizens and media outlets but in reality it’s over.. cops are doing nothing. Keep screwing with us and you will get bit even harder by crime. The only people being helped by your policies are the criminals. The normal citizens in bad neighborhoods want the help of the police.. they now don’t get it and the thugs walk around free to do whatever.

Keep them in Prison for their complete term. These criminals are safer in prison. Their Neighbors are a lot safer if they are in prison and not on the streets.

The Police in Chicago are now nothing but bean counters. The beans are how many shot and how many killed. They can't change anything, it's not possible to be everywhere all of the time. If they do apprehend a thug the courts turn them loose to do it over and over again. Yes, cluelessness? Or just talking up the usual left wing excuses ? I think what the new mayor will find out is that after more then a few years of BLM and Obama and the left media beating up the cops, they have laid back for fear of their jobs , their freedoms and nothing much that the mayor can do will change that anytime soon. Add to that the fact that Foxx and Dart want to empty the jails on a " feel good" mission and way too many judges who are way too lenient and then cap things off with an Illinois prison system then lets dangerous felons out of prison way too soon for " good behavior". Never mind that that " good behavior" is forced on these thugs because they are behind bars,
I feel so bad a could be doing more, maybe I could move into their neighborhoods and be an example of hard work and perseverance, maybe I could organize a food pantry helping the downtrodden with nutritious food, maybe then everything will change, if they don’t murder me first.

As soon as the new " Civilian Police Review Board Ordinance" is passed, which should be soon, that will start the countdown on the end of Special Ed. This new board has the only power to appoint police board members and hire a new superintendent. Can you imagine Jamel Green on the Police Board? It is possible.

That is exactly what needs to be done. Make arrests and lock them up. Consequences are the first and most important things criminals need to experience and hear about. Right now they KNOW they can do what they want and nothing happens to them. So why should they stop? Also, the MEDIA NEEDS TO CHANGE THE NARRATIVE. Stop counting the killings and the crime, and start applauding the fine work of our cops for keeping the peace, and maintaining our city’s value as a place to live and visit. So, I’m wondering - what, EXACTLY, can the CPD do to quell the violence?
Arrest people? That’s been tried, but the State’s Attorney refuses to prosecute them if they’re the wrong color and judges give them ridiculously low bail and laughably light sentences if they do get to court.
Stop suspicious looking people on the street and question them? Oh, no! Can’t do that!
Intimidate the bad guys by driving through bad neighborhoods and standing on high-crime street corners? Not only does that not work (the gang members aren’t afraid of the police), but “the community” doesn’t like having police on their streets. Even the mayor doesn’t want police officers in her line of sight.
What’s left?
Well, my guess is that the mayor is going to insist on more sensitivity and diversity training, as well as requiring a three-page essay every time an officer speaks to a “person of color”, explaining why they felt the need to “harass” that person.
Apart from the obvious solution of sacking all the “restorative justice” idiots (State’s Attorney, mayor, a majority of judges, etc) and going back to arresting dangerous criminals, the only other solution is to pull out the police entirely and let “the community” deal with the problem of violence as they see fit. Heck, “the community” apparently doesn’t see the violence as a problem, UNLESS it’s a police officer doing the shooting.
Lightfoot and several others of her party have said, “we can’t arrest our way out of this problem” - they’re right. It does no good to arrest violent criminals if you don’t subsequently PROSECUTE and IMPRISON them for the full duration of their sentences.
If you keep letting the bad guys go, they keep doing bad things on the street. It’s really just that simple.

So they are not passing on the skills and knowledge they have acquired doing the real job back in the day. Eventually people will wake up and let the police be police but that may be another 5 or 10 years coming and all that knowledge will be lost and we will have their replacements left with no clue or guidance on how to do real police work. It will be another 20 to 30 years to gain that knowledge back. So we are looking at 40 years of no real policing in Chicago.

The death in (and of) Chicago originates with drugs, drug sales, turf to sell drugs, gangs. This ultimately led to no fathers being around and addict mothers unable or unwilling to take care of their own children. This led to nihilism in ghetto raised children and the cycle continues. Police cannot fix this mess but they can make a dent if they are allowed to do their jobs. Just ask Kim Foxx!

Even if the city begs for the “old way” of policing none of us would move a muscle anyway. This current arrangement is too nice. Think about it, being paid $42/hr to do ABSOLUTELY nothing. Yes property crimes are up. Just take a look at the thievery taking place at Ohare airport. $ 126 million for an architect, $9 billion to build a new terminal. Now that's a major theft. How long does anyone stay at an airport? Get there a few hours prior to your flight and you depart. On your arrival you get your bags and leave. The city can't even keep the place clean. I picked 2013 because that when we started doing the pilot programs for body worn cameras and really started changing our hiring standards with Tracy Ladners new hiring standards. So yes, 2013 is a specific date because from that date on most cops hired have never been the police without a body camera strapped to them and academy instructors telling them to not trust veteran officers way of police work because they will only get you fired.. so since 2013 this department has drastically changed.. but hey, you already knew that because you know everything right??? Say that's a great progressive idea. That's just what the Mayor needs, de=stressing and getting away for a while. It has been a very stressful three weeks on the job. So many dead bodies and shootings, baby mamas murdered, shaming the Aldermen, yelling at Special Ed and so many media interviews.
Goat Yoga for Lorie, that's the ticket. Does it make any difference if the goat is male or female? Curious.
I figured out a way out of this mess for both the City and the CPD:
Hire David Copperfield. He is a fabulous illusionist- he even made the Statue of Liberty disapear, so making it appear crime is down should be a piece if cake.
David has this Magic Wand that make rabbits disappear and doves fly from his hanky. One wave of that wand would make all the problems just a bad memory.

Politicians are especially adept at blaming inanimate objects for the actions of people. Another example is gun control. Blame the firearm, rather than the wielder.

1. Do what the communist Chinese did. One child policy in the hood.
2. Take all that wasted money in these social programs and force these fathers of all these illegitimate children to take classes on what it means to be a father and raise a family, not being a sperm donor to multiple partners.

I know it’s been said million times before about cannabis arrests and prosecution but... last week I was in branch court for mfg/del cannabis (class A misdemeanor). The defendant didn’t bother to show up to court and the state didn’t even care to ask for a warrant! They just dropped the case and told me not to worry about. Dealing is the #1 reason for the shootings on the west side. Bosses expect us to move em from the corner, disperse them or lock em up for that nonsense and for what? So they can come back in few hours on ibond and do this shit over again? I-bonds and probations for everyone as long as it doesn’t hurt their feelings! Not a single boss can speak up and say what the problem is. You want accountability, start with courts! I’m just sick of that shit

We have an even bigger problem at hand. As the real police are sitting back watching the city burn, they are aging out and retiring. So they are not passing on the skills and knowledge they have acquired doing the real job back in the day. Eventually people will wake up and let the police be police but that may be another 5 or 10 years coming and all that knowledge will be lost and we will have their replacements left with no clue or guidance on how to do real police work. It will be another 20 to 30 years to gain that knowledge back. So we are looking at 40 years of no real policing in Chicago.
