10,000

  • Chicago police say they have passed a milestone in illegal gun seizures.

Police have confiscated more than 10,000 guns from city streets so far in 2019, police Supt. Eddie Johnson said in a news conference.
Why, the jail must be bursting at the seams with all these arrests.

How many arrests? How many guns are Police Officers? How many turned in by owners for multiple reasons? How many turned in with city buy back for money? How many returned to owners? How many taken on warrants only to be returned? How many where people died in homes of natural causes with no crimes committed?

I could go forever. To get to the truth, how many arrests and convictions for gun offenses?

Chief Judge Evans is the villain who enacted the shit ass low bonds and got rid of heavy-footed no-nonsense large bond hearing bond judges.
Evans got the chief judge position cause he was voted in by the criminal judges. All the great judges that were at 26th street are about all retired.
Dart has zero to do with bonds but he does not have to use him giving I-Bonds out for overcrowding when the Federal judges ordered the sheriff to clear the jail of overpopulation some years ago. Now, most of the county jail buildings are locked shut. The inmate population is of a small hillbilly county.
Evans is the one with blood on his hands, second is ghetto Kim who plies hardcore thugs with 10 percent of the sentence that these mutts would do in other counties. Agg Battery on a P.O. in Mchenry, Will, Lake, or any down state counties, the mutts get 6 figure bonds. Here a fuckin I Bond.
Toni/Tony has her dirty feet in all this. Happy to see her commie CPS teachers did not get out to vote for her putrid ass.

Where are those numbers? Buying junk guns, for stats!!!

Did that figure include the guns, many of them incapable of operating, turned in for a reward of $100? Personally, I was disappointed, because I had a couple of paper weights that I wanted to dispose of, but I was uncomfortable having to drive to St. Sabina! Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait until they have a turn-in for cash in a 016th District church. Stay Safe and Alert: the "Enemy" is in Charge. Baby "G"

Seizing guns from non-criminals is a violation of the Bill of Rights. It does mouthing to lower crime, except for creating a false set of statistics to parade in front of their Globalist Masters and disarm many US citizens!

Where are the statistics to show gun convictions for the alleged 10,000 criminals?

Why, is the gun the focus and not the alleged criminal convictions?

We weren’t conducting gun buy back or turn ins then either.

Gun buyback programs and gun confiscation from domestic arrests probably account for most of them. Then there is the occasional warrant on a gang infested drug house that gets 10 more off the street, but long gone are the days when proactive police work got you a free day off (or half a day off) the next day. The day after new years used to be a pretty thin roll call too.
I'm surprised the numbers are still that high still, am I missing something?

We have more guns in Chicago than people. So, in all actuality, that is a drop in the bucket, compared to the 2.7 million people who live here. And to think we have the toughest Gun Laws in the country. Sad, very sad.

Not to worry. Thanks to the previous one that was president, the number of gun makers has increased to numbers never seen before. Legal gun purchases and ownership also skyrocketed. Sadly, judges won’t incarcerate the thieves that break into people’s homes and steals valuables and guns. Add that to modern technology and there will never be a shortage of affordable guns.

Every time voters put liberal democrats in office, dozens of new gun and makers are born.

Keep voting democrat

There are very few illegal guns. Most of the time, the guns are legal, but are possessed illegally.
Also, I hope the 10,000 number does not include the three junk guns I turned in--one did not have a firing pin--and was paid $300, some of which was used to purchase ammo. The guns were not illegal. The were junk and were never used to commit any act of violence.
Gun buy backs do not reduce acts of violence. However, they provide a pittance of money to those who bother to turn the guns in.

That is funny, becuase when ever I get called to a shoplifting call the offender was usually stealing alcohol or something that he or she can sell on the street to get some cash for their next dope bag. In my 23 years I can count on 1 hand when the offender was actually stealing to feed themselves. Politicians are all about smoke and mirrors. The general public who has no clue about the truth will believe what Eddy said because they want to believe the Police are the bad guys.

Last I remember the city will include in their weapon count all firearms stolen from deceased police department members estates. Such as 020 District inventorying over 200 weapons from a range instructor’s personal collection upon his death. The Department had no problem including all those weapons as part of their display!

In 1920 in the US anyone including children could walk into a hardware store a buy a full automatic weapon with no ID. There were no mass shootings. 99.997% of guns were used correctly. The prohibition of alcohol cause the illicit use of some arms. In 1960 any person including children could walk in a hardware store and purchase a semi auto weapon with no ID. There were no mass shootings. 99.997% of weapons were used correctly. Reading the Bible, singing praises to God, saluting the flag, saying the pledge of allegiance, and prayer were removed from the schools. Finally GUN FREE ZONES WERE CREATED BY POLITICIANS. Also the treatment of people with psychological problems drastically changed. People with psychological problems about half million were turned out onto the streets from psychiatric hospitals and treated with medication that was patient dosed. In other words we made completely unprotected kill zones and opened the zoo. We created a problem! We try and correct the problem by making laws for people that did not commit the crimes!
