Was it Worth It?
- A veteran Chicago police officer will spend a year and half in prison for taking bribes to leak the names of crash victims to an attorney referral service.
Milot Cadichon, 47, was sentenced Monday to 18 months in federal prison for accepting about $10,000 in the scheme, according to U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesman Joseph Fitzpatrick. He was facing a maximum of five years.
Cadichon, a member of the department since 1998, is no longer an active duty officer and will face termination charges before the police board...

What happens to the attorney who paid ?
"Ten grand? For a career and a pension? You're an idiot."
But... He would have gotten away with it were it not for the fact... No one else every has when pulling such a lame scheme.
"Was it Worth It?"
Depends on what the definition of 'worth it' is ~ Bill Clinton
$10,000? Over how long? You threw away all of it for nothing. Good job asshole. I just watched The Seven Five about NYPD corruption. Those guys were getting $8,000 a WEEK in the late 80’s/early 90’s and they were caught in a federal investigation almost from the start. News flash, it’s all been tried before, you’re not smarter, you will get caught. Dumbass.
I don’t condone what those three in the article did and they deserve the jail time. What I find strange is the attorneys who are receiving these these client referrals from the National Attorney Referral Service. It appears that business must have been good if the owner of the service was able to pay the police officers for names. So where did the owner of the service get his money to pay these two mopes. Could it be the attorneys were paying him for clients? What do attorneys do the most? They ask questions. Wouldn't they ask the owner of the firm how he got these clients for them. And don’t attorneys ask a client, how did you find us or what led you here? Sounds like a certain professional group got left out of the equation by the feds!
He got of easy! He and his accomplice knew that they were in the wrong! Expect more of this in the future because most police can’t afford to live here.
"Prosecutors said Cadichon had inside access to crash reports and would send the names and contact information of crash victims to Burton several times a month."
This is on par with dumb kids who become bank tellers and take 'weekend loans' from their cash drawers on Friday evenings. That gets them a felony record and barred from working the banking (which can pay okay mind you) over the same low level stupidity as displayed above.
..and to think, he served in the U,S Army. I’m sure he comprised many. If you want to see something disturbing check his Facebook page
The good news is that when this whole matter is resolved, Cadichon will still be stupid. All is well that ends the same for an idiot.
The 10k was what they knew about willing to bet there was much more involved.
Was it worth it?
You can ask his buddy who also was guilty.
Who did this guy think he was? A Biden?
Cash in the mail?
I am surprised they didn't just send him and his buddy checks. This sounds that stupid.
I suppose he put the cash in the bank too?
Let me guess?
The attorney squealed on them?
He got in a federal jam and sold them out?
For cash?
Come on, make them work for it! Have the shyster lawyer hire the wife in a no show job or something like that.
Maybe Cadichon should have set up a charity like the Clinton Foundation?
Or hired his kid as a Board Member like Hunter Biden?
Yes fuck him!
Yeah...he is an idiot but 1.5 years for that? How much time do they hand out for brutal assaults and beatdowns on tourists downtown?

What did Johnson get for stealing $320,000, over 20 years knowingly. All while flying through the ranks at CPD.
“Ten grand? For a career and a pension? You’re an idiot.”
Second that emotion errrrr motion SCC.
Some dumb MFers on this job.
Apparently residency didn't apply to him, he openly flaunted that he live in the suburbs on Facebook
Never heard of this guy but I’d be willing to bet he had a trait shared by all those who’ve pulled this nonsense in the past. They always think they are the smartest in any room and could never get caught by those they consider to be their mental inferiors. Probably had a somewhat shady past ignored by recruit processing.
Apparently greedy morons just can’t help themselves.
Now he should be deported back to Haiti, screw him, he is just another ghetto ass criminal and with what they are hiring there will be more.
What “career”? Did you mean his “merit” career? What “pension”? The one that will never be funded by the city?
I hate corruption as much as anyone, but this seems to be a lot of time for a truly victimless crime. Who’s the victim? Some other pond scum attorney’?

Are you for real? Blaming this on residency. And saying expect more. This had nothing to do with residency and the 13,000 of us survive
Soft as baby sit...to loose everything!!!!!
Enjoy prison. Try not to give up your ass candy. Thief.
The rule back when for wagon men, when you transported a stiff to a funeral home, it was either now or never if you got stiffed. No going back.
He should have known better. Only bosses can get away with this stuff.
It is still happening!

Really?
I remember this officer when he worked in 007. Not a bad person, just foolish but if Bubblehead got away with stealing for over 25 plus years, then 18 months is not fair.
Whats he think he is? A Politician?
A very small contingent of CPD officers assigned to the FBI's Public Corruption Task Force are sending corrupt officers to prison left and right. It's a thankless job, keep up the good work officers.
