Chief Judge Tim Evans is about as tone deaf as they come as evidenced by his recent statements:
- Two years into an “affordable bail” initiative that is allowing most accused gun offenders and even accused murderers to be released from jail to await trial, Cook County’s chief judge says the program is working fabulously.
“It’s not by magic that we haven’t had any horrible incidents occur using this new [bail] system,” Chief Judge Timothy Evans said during county budget hearings on Nov. 4.
No "horrible incidents"?
- On Feb. 9, Daryl Williams violated the terms of a court-ordered curfew, secured an illegal handgun, and then fatally shot 45-year-old Daniel Smith in the back of the head, prosecutors allege.
- In August, someone fatally shot 34-year-old Neal Sumrell as he sat in his car in Humboldt Park. Someone also shot a woman who was in Sumrell’s vehicle as she tried to run away. Prosecutors say they know who at least one of the shooters was: Antwane Lashley. The 18-year-old who was free on a recognizance bond and electronic monitoring at the time of the shootings...
The CWB Blog (go read it all at the link up top) has another three homicides listed - all by offenders out on low-to-no bond - so there can be only one logical conclusion:

Well they keep running and keep getting elected, a lot of them for their lifetimes. Even when they lose they just get appointed. So where does Evans live? Most of the judges live far out of Chicago and if they do live in the City you will find them in the Gold Coast, Edgebrook etc. If they hear cases in the City they should live in the communities of the City. The police and fire personnel have to. Make them and the ASAs and PDs go to the beat meetings, why is it that just the police have to listen to the brunt of complaints from the citizens about the failed criminal justice system. Make these elitist accountable it’s time.

Evans does not have to have a " platform" for election, he is a connected democrat and that is all that matters. It is an extremely rate event for the Cook County Democratic Party not to endorse a fellow democrat, no matter what he/she does. They all just fall in line.Plus, in this age of "Woke" and progressive racial politics, it would not be a good thing for a democrat to espouse locking up violent black people.

If I remember correctly CWB had a bunch of articles about rapists being let loose into the city again on low to no bond and then repeating sex crimes, sometimes multiple people shortly there after being let out on bond. So Evans thinks rape is not a big deal? Maybe we need a new chief judge.

Sadly, black-on-black homicide is part of the engine that drives the progressive agenda. As long as “the community” is in chaos, the progressives can continue to argue that they need more “common sense gun laws”, more money for “jobs training” and “affordable housing” and more “reform” of the police and courts.
Just watch how Groot and Foxx have portrayed themselves as trying to make things better, when even the most casual assessment of what they do would recognize that they're only increasing crime, murder and poverty in “the community”.
Their goal is to consolidate their power by convincing people that they are the only thing standing between the citizens and absolute anarchy. By increasing the crime, violence and overall chaos, they hope that the voters will grant them MORE money and MORE power.
The reality is that Chicago is rapidly heading down the same path that Detroit took. And it’s the same people taking it down that path.

Barack and Michelle's Kenwood mansion (had to borrow from Tony Rezco) has sat basically empty this last 11 years when the Obamas went Nobel Peace Price globalists.

New Mexico is following Chicago’s affordable bail act. Just last week the judges said it was working well. It’s almost as they’re talking with each other. Same thing with violent criminals committing violent crimes while out on bail. Just last week, the mother of two state police officers was murdered in her driveway. Albuquerque is the auto theft capital of the nation.
They too are under a federal consent degree..coincidence?, I think not. Just a bunch of liberal judges in a democrat, sanctuary run state..
Might wanna send them (Albuquerque PD) the pointing chart so they know what’s coming next.. this years homicides will be a record breaker too.
Kim Foxx resides in Flossmoor, which is safer than Chicago's West and South Sides.
Evans did live in Hyde Park. I had to park outside his house during the Council Wars of the mid 1980s.
