Wounded Cop Heads Home
- A Chicago police officer who was shot by a suspected bank robber in Irving Park last week has been released from the hospital and is continuing his recovery at home.
The officer, a 46-year-old man, was released from Illinois Masonic on Friday, according to Chicago police spokesman Anthony [Google-me]. He was shot in the head Tuesday during a chaotic pursuit which also saw a 15-year-old boy wounded by a stray bullet, likely from a Des Plaines police officer.
- A man who the feds say admitted his role in the Des Plaines bank robbery that led to the shooting Tuesday of a Chicago police officer and a 15-year-old boy on the Northwest Side now faces a federal bank robbery charge.
That means Crimesha won't be able to release him on an "Undocumented Withdrawal" charge, Evans won't be giving this asshole a signature bond and Dart won't be giving out pizza.

Thank god the Feds are charging the bad guy. No faith or trust in Kim Fixx or the judges.
Hey you forgot 85 % of his sentence will have to be eventually served due to the truth in sentencing guidelines!!! It’ll give em plenty of time to acquire his Juris Doctorate Degree! I’m sure that’s what he was gonna do
With his share of the early withdrawal program from the bank!
I like the even better news.
At 46, I just might call it quits and tell myself I've just
about used up all my miracles.
Time for the Chargers to take some responsibility.
Yo! Can I get that pizza to go?
Excellent news all the way round.
Attention magnum p.i., big head ed, or whoever is running this department nowadays. This officer is what qualifies as a candidate for a merit promotion. Officer MC from the fighting 17th, glad you are home and feeling better.
Get well soon officer and high school student.
The kid that was shot has already started law suit accusing the bank robbers driver.
And requesting all video of bank robbery then pursuit from Des Plaines down Kennedy xpressway
And area surrounding the actual shooting location.....
Expect Des Plaines Police and Officer to take major law suit and maybe Chicago Police lumped in for principle!
Deepest pockets always get sued!
Good work in catching the bad guys but was it worth it?
1 dead
1 police officer shot
1 civilian shot twice.
1 car stolen from citizens and damaged. (Expect them to sue someone)
And now comes the criminal legal case.......hope it stays in Federal court!
Followed by civil case against law enforcement. Which will fall into Crook County.....
How much money will this total when it ends.
Best wishes our brother, good health.
Prayers sent to our blue brother a true hero, people look at overpaid sports stars paid in the millions and call them heroes now they’re not they are the zeros this man hair is a hero respect him God bless you officer. Get well soon!
What I like is Chief Kushner emphatically told COPA that he would not allow COPA to handle his officers weapons and would not cooperate with any investigation into their actions.
The morally bankrupt firm of Crimesha, Groot, Evans & Dart, L.L.C. won't be able to implement their Save-A-Shitstain agenda today. No no no.
They should do all felonies federal. This communistic system needs ro be taken over by Washington. This is a public hazard and a national emergency.
Take care, office. Rest up.
Well we know one demorat,is gone.
Keeping that CPD BASHING BITCH out the way is good.
"Undocumented withdrawal" Love it!
OFFICER IS HOME SAFE! :) Best of wishes!
DaShank

Yes 100%, but don't forget the Des Plaines officer who took the guy out that shot him......and saved a whole bunch of kids in the building despite wounding an innocent bystander...plus all those future crimes that can never be committed by the bad guy.
24 hours after this incident occurred, I turned on the 5 pm news thinking that the public would get an update on the officer’s and/or student’s condition, the identity of either of the two bank robbers and/or how/where this Des Plaines bank robbery occurred and how it ended up on Irving Park road in Chicago. Top breaking news #1 report for Channels 2, 5, and 32 was the. Naperville HS student who placed a ‘Slave For Sale’ ad on Craigslist. In all matters of concern, reports of racism must be the Top Story since White people’s actions are always the source of trouble in this state...
No i-bond for him and time considered served for that loser.
Jesus save's at the First National Bank.
Is Ed Head still screaming, "WE DIDN'T SHOOT" or has he calmed down yet?
Great, that the charges are federal.. cook cook is one big “wet dream” for criminals
Merit for a working cop with no juice. Are you kidding.? This brave Officer wont get shit from the current bosses. He doesnt have the right stuff. Right sleepy Ed & the rest of his merit gang. Im just happy hes otw home and hopefully he'll be fine.
?
You ever see the movie pappion, when he's in solitary.the best case scenario for this shitbag if I was in charge.and to his home boy, fuck you,you died to quick.

Say WHHHAAAATTT????
Somehow getting shot qualifies one to be a detective or a sergeant?
Your logic escapes me - care to elaborate? I fail to see the correlation.
People who get shot on the job are smarter, know the intricacies of the job better regardless of time on and magically acquire supervisory or investigative skills? Is that what you’re saying? Do coppers who have and/or beat cancer deserve a merit promotion? How about those that were never on the medical roll their entire career? Never tore up a squad car? Never got a court deviation?
Everyone seems to always be asking for “merit” to be defined, myself included. So let’s put into motion a system that defines merit and the awards for different levels of merit accomplishments.
But getting hurt on this job while in the performance of your duties… even if it’s being shot… Doesn’t mean someone is worthy of stripes or a detective’s shield.
Sorry, ain’t buying that.
Job is NOT worth getting hurt or killed. Banks are insured. Why don't they hire armed guards in the banks. They have the money.
My Best wishes to the recovering Officer, the student and the Brave Des Plaines Officer. All of their lives have changed because of two worthless shitheads. Keep your families and friends close, they will support you through your emotional recoveries. God kept all of you here with us a little longer for a reason. Now comes the hard part, don’t ever be afraid to ask for help.

So I guess you're supposed to just stand down and let everything just go right?....wrong, you do what you have to in order to get the bad guy, all while hoping for the best outcome. I'm sure no officer sits there and thinks to themselves how he/she can get involved in a chase and somehow get an officer shot, civilian shot, and a vehicle stolen! If this is your mindset, then you're in the wrong field buddy.

And he shouldn't!
copa has ZERO authority to investigate the Des Plaines Officer!
Glad he’ll be home for the holidays.
Who would you rather see promoted by merit, the commander's squeeze toy who gets him hot coffee everyday and gets his car washed or the copper who got shot in the head.

Meritorious detective is what they usually give out for getting shot.

Unfortunately it’s not who we would rather have promoted, but who they would rather promote and they have shown us time and time again and will continue to do so

Wouldn’t you love to see the merit packages. Even a political speechwriter couldn’t justify the merit, but somehow the exempts do

I want to see the MOST QUALIFIED for the position get the bite from the merit Apple. The commanders secretary may have been the working police for 20+ years in the ghetto prior to coming inside. again as said earlier by other commentators Getting shot does not qualify one to be a detective or sergeant. Now if they want to give him an inside spot somewhere while he recuperates completely or transfer to a slower district and/watch of his choice? I’m all for that. sucks that he was injured, and I pray that he makes a full recovery.
Praying for a speedy recovery! Glad you made it home!
thank G+D, glad to hear this
