Good to be Exempt

And once again, rules for the peons, but not for the ones who enforce the rules:
  • “Use of force training” today. DC Johnson signed in and took a seat amongst the men and women....only to stay for 1 hour and never return
Remember, this guy is in charge of the Academy. He could be called as an expert witness when your career is on the line in a criminal trial or your house is at risk in a civil suit.

But he won't be called when anyone is cashing his dead mother's checks. His brother has that on lockdown.

"Earned," not given. Beck, you paying attention?

That’s nothing. On 19 Nov Waller walked out of Supervisor training after an hour. Devereux then followed. DC Holt looked up from his phone long enough to see they left so he got up and left. Then Cato headed out. Yeah The same guys sending emails demanding everyone do their E learning showed all of us just how important supervisor training is by getting up and leaving after 45minss to an hour.

Even when you advance with time on as a blue shirt is is are now furloughs by watch. You find greener pastures seniority goes up. Less real crimes more event #s to pull and merut bosses to deal with. Ideally if you are not over 50 with 25 years on you will never relax. Sick thing is you have these mamas boys and daddys girls getting desk spots, station security, radio room, foot patrol, and other nice spots with little time on.

Not to defend any exempts, but I believe possibly,he was just observing the class to ensure the integrity of the lesson plan was being followed.

He never intended to stay the whole time. signed in to show he was present maybe.

end of story.

Yes, the irony, but on a serious note does anyone even believe this nonsense?

The Sup, pulls over, calls EAP, gets fixed and lives happily ever after.

What a disservice to all those who live with issues. There is no quick fix. Its a life process. I can’t believe a mental health expert didn’t review this and tell him nobody is going to buy it and it will in essence show you’re disingenuous. And that’s not what people in need, NEED.

Big deal. During the 8 hour 2019 Supervisors Mandatory Training, all the Captains and above walked out after two hours and only one returned three hours later. Most of the ones that stayed were constantly texting. Lietenants SC and PW were sitting in front of me playing games on their cell phones.
If that's leading by example then shouldnt we all blow off training?

Mr. Beck? He's gone for the holiday.
Try back next Wednesday, late, or Thursday.
Weather. Weather and travel volume, sir.
Yes, yes, he is the Chief. Mr. Johnson?
Yes, he's also the Chief, but he's off for Thanksgiving.
I, I really don't know sir. They sort of share the position
at the time. Yes, I know the Tribune makes it hard to
understand. The actual person in charge? Let me go
down that list for you, sir. Please hold.

Whatttttttt you mean to tell me the department has supervisor training? In recent year, I’ve encounter some of the worse supervisors on the department. What’s the curriculum.

True, he stopped by my class, as well. The consent decree requires the an exempt ensures the integrity of each class. Johnson was not required to stay, but the comments are still funny.

Commanders know everything.
They don’t need no kind of training - they live it.

Rather than just stick around, next time a boss leaves - question it, or just get up a leave too. From what I remember ducking was allowed after the first break. You don’t want to walk in wearing a coat and hang it on the back of your chair either. Finding an empty locker helps when the weather is chilly.
You’re welcome.

That is exactly what I thought. I have suffered from depression for over 20 years, I wish I knew I only had to pull over the car, call EAP and would be fixed in one phone call. You are exactly right, it is an insult to all the people that are truly suffering from mental illness to suggest that you can be cured after one phone call with EAP

I was in that 2 day Use of Force Refresher in Nov of last year with that Cmdr Blisset. This guy showed up on day 1, signed in and left. He never even bothered to show up for day 2 but I bet he was marked present. (yeah, the whole class noticed).

Day 1 was the same day the officer was killed in that Mercy Hospital shooting. So I bet if anyone says anything to him (which ain't likely), his excuse for leaving will be the shooting. HOWEVER, the shooting didn't happen until well AFTER the class got started. Right Rodney?!

Another overly merit promoted hack who got his command spot because he is friends with hand holding protest leader Eddie Johnson. Hey Eddie how about you take him with you when you leave.

Next time I am forced to take one of these classes that's longer than 1 day and I see an exempt in my class I'm calling to invite a federal monitor. If I gotta be there, you gotta be there.

No, they were there because their favorite pastime is sitting in classrooms they don't belong in. Duh.

Are you saying Johnson didn’t move Rodney from 006 to Area South Detective Division? He did And it was a huge mistake.

I don’t think the original poster was “jealous” I think they were simply stTing the obvious.

Rodney is swiped in by his secretary daily, yes we all notice...

Oh, Anonymous 11/27/2019 07:55:00 AM, you ignorant slut,
You really believe he’s aware of what’s on the lesson plan, or that he’s aware such a thing exists???
Now, if the subject at hand were golfing, or vacationing, then maybe he’d have a frame of reference to draw from.
Otherwise, you can now spit out whatever it is he deposited into your mouth, and GGYSB.

Rodney Blissett was never the police. He earned his promotions the old fashioned way-buttkissing and or backstabbing. The only time you see him step outside of the office in a bad area is when he goes to smoke a cigar. Those in 003,006,007 and Area South will tell you.
I don't believe the secretary swiping him in and out , though. If that's true get a number. It's grounds for termination for both of them if true.

Speaking of politics is it true Kevin Johnson brought P.O. E. M, COUSIN of aldermanic political scumbag Jason Ervin, on board at the academy?
Was that Johnson's payoff for his bump up to academy Deputy Chief?
