A couple of the main stream media types covered a story about the house party up north where twenty-five guns were recovered when the event was shut down. But they don't cover the story a few days later because it might make Crimesha look bad:
- Chicago police say they recovered 25 weapons from an Airbnb party in Wicker Park where up to 150 people were present for the filming of a gun-filled rap video that was live-streamed online early Saturday.
Five people were arrested. But not one person has been charged with possessing any of the firearms.
Instead, prosecutors charged four convicted felons with battering police.
Four jagoffs with previous felony records, and guess what their bail was?
- Judge John Lyke on Sunday afternoon released Clay, Williams, and Raeland on their own recognizance and ordered them to go on electronic home monitoring. Lyke set bail for Holmes at $5,000, which requires payment of a $500 deposit bond to go home.
Don't you feel all warm and fuzzy inside when you realize that:
- a policeman's life;
- confronting one-hundred-fifty assholes;
- at an illegal party;
- where twenty-five guns were present
is only worth $500 and three Electronic Monitors for a system that at last count, is still missing a few hundred inmates? No wonder the criminals are emboldened.

Chicago Public Schools Inspector General Nicholas Schuler quit his post Monday, city officials confirmed.
In a statement Monday morning, Mayor Lori Lightfoot said she accepted the resignation of the schools watchdog. His last day will be Feb. 29.
"The mayor thanks Mr. Schuler for his years of dedicated service to Chicago Public Schools and the city of Chicago. The Chicago Public Schools inspector general performs the critical role of ensuring the integrity of important functions within Chicago Public Schools, particularly regarding allegations of sexual assault or abuse. As a result, the mayor's office will immediately begin the search for a replacement to ensure the rights of all students, teachers and staff remain protected."
Schuler told his staff of his decision to resign from the position that he held since 2014 at a meeting Monday morning.
Schuler still had more than two years left in his current term.
In a brief statement, he said, "I have no comment other than that I'm proud of the work we have accomplished here over the past 5 years."
The Sun-Times reported Friday that anonymous complaints about Schuler, 52, prompted the city's school board to hire an outside law firm to conduct a probe into the head of the office of almost 50 employees and at least $3.64 million budget.
One of the complaints, purporting to be from "employees in the Office of Inspector General for Chicago Public Schools" and obtained by the Sun-Times, said that "the IG has created a toxic workplace for everyone."

“That is what reform feels like; it is not pretty, it is not easy,” Foxx stated. “When you do something different, they come for you.”
Foxx spoke candidly about the threats and intimidation tactics used against her. “After the Smollett case, there was a big march at my office by four different white nationalist groups,” Foxx declared. “There was a barrage of hate mail, not just about that case, but because of my mere presence in this race.”
Another example of how Foxx is reforming the system was displayed in the report by The Marshall Project in October 2019. It provided evidence of Foxx rejecting more than 5,000 cases that would have been pursued by previous State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez. These were low-level shoplifting and drug offenses that Foxx’s office directed to alternative treatment programs. As a result of Foxx’s initiative, small thefts are no longer prosecuted as felonies.
One of Foxx’s significant accomplishments during her first term in office is the role she played in helping Illinois legalize marijuana. The new law allows Illinois to restore the lives of individuals by lifting the misdemeanor convictions of those with criminal records for marijuana-related matters. Illinois is the eleventh state to legalize marijuana, but the first to clear the records of offenders. This new law expunges nearly 800,000 marijuana convictions in Illinois.
“We are just scratching the surface,” Foxx acknowledged. “And while the marijuana legislation is historic, there are too many communities ravaged by violence, too many communities that do not see their full potential and too many uses of our resources going in the wrong places. I need another term to continue to make those strides.”
Foxx has received high profile endorsements from the likes of Presidential Hopeful, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and award-winning artist John Legend. However, Foxx knows she needs the people of Cook County to stand with her to continue the reform she began in her first term. Foxx credits childhood poverty, growing up in Cabrini-Green, and other life experiences for shaping her perspective in the office she serves.
“I am just like the people who come up in our system,” Foxx shared. “I have more in common with the people in our criminal justice system than the eight hundred lawyers that work there.”

Yesterday Capparelli got a bill from Marty Preib’s “researcher” for web page articles and editing bio’s. What web page and what bio’s? It was for Marty’s campaign web page!
A motion was made to break ties with the “researcher” and guess what? The roll call vote broke down the exact same way as the Martwick vote. Marty Preib apparently let the cat out of the bag and said the other guy was writing all of Marty’s articles for him. How does a vender work for a campaign?
There are 70 people running for office not on Preib’s ticket who are not on this board. I wonder how they feel about paying for the people running against them with FOP money?

Two complaints were filed with the election committee today.
First was FOP paying the campaign bill for a full ticket. And ALL the members of that ticket on the FOP board voted NOT to break ties with that person. How much was paid in the past? All those magazine articles were written by someone else?
Second compliant was filed was three members of that ticket are in engaged in negative posting posting during the business day. Do would think that they are bright enough to figure it out since they are posting under their OWN names during the day we might figure it out? Over 30 posts in one afternoon on OUR dime.

The latest commercial from Foxx has her " standing up to Trump and the NRA, neither of which have much of anything to do with her job or crime in Cook County. But, she knows it and so do many others that Foxx cannot run on the facts. Commercials from the opposition need to tell actual stories of how her office is soft on criminals. The teacher's union is backing Foxx as well as SEIU, the media, every black elected official .

I think that anyone who is thinking straight and who is for law and order and who can get past their racial bias will do just that. But, this election is now about race and the establishment ( that is the white man)that is trying to destroy a powerful and successful black women. And, if Foxx wins, then the handcuffs will really be off of her and the changes will only get much worse.
