- SCC, this needs to be confirmed [...]...Two victims.. visitors to Chicago were executed tonight in Chinatown. The offender was caught with bloody footprints shortly after the arrest with the gun around the block a few minutes after the murders.. it was apparently a robbery gone wrong. The offender caught a robbery for robbing several people about 16 months ago.. case still ongoing and then, caught a class 3 felony narcotics case 12 months ago. Both cases still pending trials and he’s out on bond. Did the states attorney ever argue at his class three arrest to revoke his bond??? Did the judge give him no bond for the robbery?? Why is he on the street??? Does anyone at cook count have any damn clue what’s going on....?
That a criminal with multiple active felony cases is out on the street isn't shocking in the least. That's Crimesha's M.O. In fact, the only thing makes us doubt any of the story is the time of occurrence. Tourists aren't usually out at 0215 hours in the dead of winter....unless their name is "Smollett" and they're picking up some Subway sandwiches to go.

Chicago police Sunday morning were investigating a double homicide in the city’s South Loop, saying an armed robber shot two men when they refused to turn over their belongings.
A third person, a woman, who was also confronted but who complied with the man’s demands was not shot, officials said.
Police were called to the 2000 block of South Wells Street about 2:15 a.m., according to Chicago police. The three people had been in a residential parking lot when a man they didn’t know came up and demanded their belongings, officials said.
The woman did what the man said but the two men she was with resisted, police said. The gunman then fired several shots at the two men. A 39-year-old man was shot in the head and he was pronounced dead at the location. The second man, 38, also was shot in the head and pronounced dead on scene, according to police.
The gunman took off running and police caught up with him in the 2200 block of S. Princeton Avenue in nearby Chinatown. A weapon was recovered and the man was arrested, officials said. No charges had been announced Sunday morning.

I haven't had my spouse murdered in front of me before, but I would guess that it is close to one of the 'horrible incidents' Evans bragged (yes, he was bragging) about avoiding through the judicious application of affordable bails and electronic monitoring.
Maybe Evans' "experts" can weigh in on this. Then perhaps those experts can walk into parking garages throughout Chicago and interview the low-bail / no-bail recipients while they turn over their valuables and shit themselves.

Not surprised. I had a guy on the uuw aggravated vehicular high jacking, after this charges he was released. While on bond he caught attempted murder case. And guess what, when I got to court on uuw and avhj he walked in to the court with his buddy in civilian clothes. Fcking sick.

Why isn’t the FOP or PB&PA using a fucking public relation group and tweeting, blasting, and whatever the fucking all over main stream media and social media. Every one of these cases should be linked to the city’s, mayors, CNN, FOX, ECT... accounts daily. Include the judges, defense attorneys prosecutors names. That will bring attention and address this bullshit! The only think they care about is public perception. It’s not that fucking hard. Get a true public relations team. Not some foot patrol fossil who claims to be “The nemesis of the Chicago media.” Preib doesn’t cut it
So sad. One of the victims worked 12 hours a day 6 days a week making less than $14 an hour and sends most of his income back home to China to support his son and ill mother. Chinese people are so selfless and it pains me to hear that these victims died by a worthless criminal that should not have been released in the first place.

Someone above made the sentiment for summertime blue flu. I really wish we as a department would come together and realize that is really the only way for this city and politicians to realize that we aren’t expendable and that we as a Department are unfairly demonized by them and the media. We need a police chief thst will get angry on camera like NYC but our department exempt is so thick with shitty merit promotees that this will never happen. Merit has ruined our department strength. We can’t negotiate as a union when our department heads are so shamelessly in bed with the politicians. The police department should be about lawfulness and have nothing to do with the corrupt politics of this city. We need to really do this. How angry do you have to get, fellow officers? We’ve been without a contract for nearly 3 years. The consent decree. Merit after merit exempts. Mayors who use an officer suicide as a media sound bite when under her breath she helps spread the current anti police atmosphere.

A blue flu of sorts would be nice, it would drive the bug-eyed toad crazy. Imagine her yelling, love to see that. Merits and house mouse types, let them carry the ball during the flu. But that too seems political and mostly useless. They complain about the union in NYC too but it's still much better than Chicago. The new sup will be the lap dog of Mini Mouse Lori, the new murder mayor. A complete spineless hack. Never fear Mazoski or whatever his name is will save the day as he is the Superman of Stats. Will he vote for the Queen of Crime too? Very likely.
No outrage at all over the double murder or that of the college student not so long ago. If a cop involved, different story. If criminal white, victims black, different story. That's true progressive thinking. Right Larri? People say that's too bad and turn the page, never once saying we the people need to do something about those letting the criminals walk free. That would actually mean having to invest time and perhaps money to fight back.
