Unfortunately, it appears that this is the only suit the Department bought, and officers have to share it in twenty-minute shifts to clean cars.
Kidding! But seriously, where is this at, what are they using in the tank, what is the procedure for cleaning?
We saw Groot claiming at a press conference that the Department was provided with all sorts of safety materials, none of which seem to have made it to the Districts we work. What's the hold up?
And why the lies? Not a single reporter has gone to a District and asked questions of the Officers on the front lines....because they're pretty much pussies and cowards afraid to rock the Groot-boat.

Sheriff Dart is now ordering officers to wear masks. While last week he ordered officers to take them off or get written up. What an incompetent evil POS! 42 more Sheriff staff positive at 26th just today.

The mayor must hate the police so much that she would prefer to see us gravely ill or dead. She has repeatedly lied to the citizens of Chicago and the nation about safety measures she has taken for her police and fire department. Just yesterday, I received my first small bottle of hand sanitizer. I have not been issued any PPE, N95 mask, or other safety equipment. Anything I am using, like many of my colleagues, I purchased myself or had in my home to use. I have an elderly parent and disabled sibling I care for, and I am terrified of my family catching this virus should I walking around asymptomatic. I would not know if I had the virus because I am not sick and have not been tested. I wish the media in this city dared to take a look behind the scenes to see what is going on within CPD and CFD. The mayor has no integrity and is a liar. The media would be disgusted at the gross negligence of the mayor if they knew the truth. Why do you think the Mayor wants to stop FOIA? She doesn't want anyone requesting any COViD related information from any city department. She wants to control what the public knows. So much for transparency and accountability. We are the blue canaries of this city. I am sure; I am not alone with my thinking.

You really do not expect the media to go to the outlying stations and investigate, do you? It would not be good for them to actually ask probing followup questions of the mayor and governor at their showy press conferences. Maybe Chuck Gowdy would like to show up to the 002 District station at midnight on a Friday night with a camera crew and write a good story? NOT!

Dana Kozlov has always been fair to the CPD. Not pro-police but not anti-police either. In Chicago that's about the best you can hope for from a MSM "journalist". She started as a crime reporter here and wasn't afraid to report from Englewood or Austin making less salary than a PO. I also went to school with her at U of I. I know of one copper that submitted a idea to have a archway of UV lights as you enter/exit the stations that will kill the virus. Not expensive either. He even sent in sketches and showed where it would plug into the wall, nothing fancy needed.

That was a picture from when had to clean Eddie Johnson's car right after he fled town. They called in Dave "DUI" Savini with his black light.
We got about 20 of the surgical masks sent to us via department mail in the manilla envelopes (the kind with the holes and the little red string that secures said envelope). All of the masks were thrown in the envelope loose, not in plastic bags or anything. The holes in the envelopes made it even more funny....
That mask isn't suitable or safe for the job. He should be wearing a dual cartridge respirator.
This is a PO from one of the hiding spots in a Unit. They had the choice of going back to Patrol in a beat car or do the disinfectant spraying of the cars used by guys who test positive. Three or four of them opted to do this instead of going back on the street. It's a full biological suit and garden sprayer. They spray the inside of the car, let it dry and give back the keys. Who knows if it actually disinfects or is it a feel good measure, since after all, if they test positive, that car has been used for the next three to ten days after the sick member was in it before his test result comes back. Disinfecting ten days after the infection was spread is kinds of stupid. And WOW! They'd rather do this rather than go back on the street for a few weeks. Spoiled? Useless? Scared? You decide.

FOP needs to get in front of a camera and speak up for the rank and file officers. They have been sitting on the sidelines way too long. Kevin Graham you had your shot and if you get voted out you have no one to blame but yourself. I just hope the next FOP president learns from Graham’s mistakes and actually represents us and gives us a voice in the media so the public actually knows how bad we are treated.

Why doesn't the union ever respond, you know they read this blog. Damn cowardly. Oh but they did send a letter some weeks ago. Wow, what a strong union those coppers have. If Larry was catching it from the union everyday and being embarrassed by union pressers then the city might feel forced to do something as it would quickly become national news. I won’t pretend to know about all these people, but I know Aherns husband is with the ATF, her son was CPD and then got hired on ATF. I don’t know the family super well, but I’ve had interactions with Ahern and the kid, and they’ve all been extremely nice. Maybe Ahern does hate the police and law enforcement, but I’d doubt it given she’s married to one and birthed another.
Truly un-fuckingbelievable. I have some police friends who protected my daughter's religous school and asked them about the PPE provided. They replied what PPE.
Amazon delivered 6 cases of 67 oz Purell when I ordered 6 sink side sizes bottles. Saw this coming too so I got 1000 nitrile gloves and about 100 N95s.
Have given them out with hope they would fairly distribute some of this to the others that lay it on the line everyday despite our local government and their b.s. trick bag shit.
Please CPD members buy an umbrella to keep the shit storm out of your lives.

Here is some funny shit, so the 1st district has pop's cleaning cars after each shift to disinfect them, but right around the corners is special employment, traffic unit, and mass transit which also has cras but guess what. No one's cleaning these dam cars after each shift! Talk about ass backwards department. Well to the M.I.C.K.E.Y M.O.U.S.E CLUB! Dam hubby company.
