Sounds Familiar

  • SPRINGFIELD — Like many Chicagoans and other home-bound folks across the state, red-light cameras must be getting bored.

With many city and suburban streets looking like the main drag of a ghost town, the hated traffic enforcement cameras are, not surprisingly, catching fewer drivers running red lights during the coronavirus pandemic.

In Chicago, red-light violations were down 45% in March compared to the month before, according to city figures. And compared to March 2019, red-light violations in Chicago were down 54%, numbering just 19,840 in March 2020 compared to 42,812 in March 2019.

And the shutdown was only in effect for part of last month.
Like we said, Groot needs Chicago up and running, committing traffic and parking violations to feed the government coffers.

Since the media is stealing story ideas from the blog (again), maybe they can try asking about sales tax revenues next? Convention revenues? Landing fees at the airports? Don't forget Prickwrinkle's share. Then after they blow you off, try the Tollway Authority and then State government accounts.

Cannabis taxes. That’ll balance the books, especially “in these troubling times.”

And heroin. Why not legalize and tax that? Fentanyl hotshots? Even better. The market is huge and users will accept responsibility for both risk and taxes.

But if the city really wants a revenue haul it could tax political corruption and murder.

Its all in the shitter. JB is playing like the pussy he is and blaming the President any chance he can. He forgets he said the state was ready for this and wasnt waiting on the Feds. Numbers coming down. He is angling for bailout money since the state is basically bankrupt. Between SCC, CWB and Wirepoints.org. Thetrue story of the city and state can be found. I havent watched the nes for years now. Coffee, toast and SCC,CWB and Wirepoints every day.

(OT) this sounds familiar also how the city doesn’t care about anybody, knowing how many police officers like ourselves first responders and other people live in the Garfield Ridge area and with a virus going around, trying to keep the air clean so people can go outside and jog or run why is it the Clorox plant that was torn down and 51st St. west of Central is being used As a quarry rocks are being ground up the dust is incredible throughout the neighborhood with whatever that contains Surely it’s cancer is causing materials. Yes I’ve called the Alderman‘s office Alderman Burke the mayors office Alderman Tabares, lipinski‘s office and the rest with zero results no one seems to know what’s going on granted they did it right on the curb line in Forest view and nothing is being done about it! The old adage in Chicago is follow the money who’s getting paid take a drive by there look at it! When I see the people dragging by trying to get healthy inhaling all of that cement or in other particles which covers the neighborhood Covers the vehicles in the homes!

That lost sales and use tax revenue is going to hit every homeowner, every vehicle driver, every dog owner that buys an annual tag worse than the Covid’s. And once the corrupt politicians lift this grace period to pay, there won’t be anymore late fee penalty fee waivers, doubling and compounding late fee is coming back.

Suckers are going to be squeezed to pay up and quick, not just from the city but county and state too.
Don’t rely on or even think about any debt forgiveness or special debt set aside honey pot monies like they’re doing for the sanctuarians, the zip code scofflaws and the deadbeats.

Was it just a coincidence that real estate and water bills due Mar 1 and Mar 24 were paid on time by so many responsible homeowners just to avoid the exorbitant, compounded late fees? Then a week or two later wicked evil Larri and Toenail charitably announced an extended, fee free grace period until April 30.

What about all the lost revenue from the THOUSANDS of video gambling machines set up in every venue from Legion/VFW/bar/restaurant/store front imaginable? Those machines are not 6 feet apart, and losing the state tons of money. And someone else had it right, the loss of red light/speeding revenues. The casinos closed. The loss, and the money the city will OWE to the parking meter company. Oh wait, we can kick the can further down the road and take it from the over funded pension funds, that's right! Oh shoot, maybe I can console myself and get a haircut, sorry, I'm not the face of Chicago so I can look like shit! Since parks are closed, shouldn't those tickets also be non-suited?

Since throwing eggs at a car on Halloween isn't CDTP because the egg can be washed off, were some sort of Robin Hood-esque character to take a paint roller covered in petroleum jelly to a camera, would that also not be CDTP, since it can be washed off?

Those cameras are always running, and don't take a still shot until triggered, so wear a ski mask, I mean, if you were to do anything like this.

This State and City are going to be shutdown through at least October. The States and Cities with low Covid 19 numbers will open for business starting the 1st of June. The Federal Government is giving a a lot of ultimate power to local politicians as to when they will reopen their economies and remove the politically correct term of Stay at Home Order, which in reality is much closer to Martial Law, and that is a very dangerous thing if your Governor is a Democrat.Downtown Chicago will be worse than Detroit ended up and will never recover.Congrats to our Democratic Politicians. They truly did not let a crisis go to waste.

Please note , in alot of these "red-Light Camera" contracts if they do not bring in the requisite amounts of tickets , the contracting government agency has to PAY the red light camera businesses the difference in lost income. Pretty sure almost all the red cameras contracts in Illinois have this rather dubious stipulation due to the corruption surrounding them though Madigan and cronism kickbacks across the state.

Most Aldercreatures are black and brown, Mayor, CPD (Special Ed fired; and now Dallas Brown), county Health Commissioner, Revrunds, the State's Attorney, Chief Judge and other key judiciary, Crook County Prez and many Board members (another Daley Dullard on Board), State AG, and the Fat Ass Gov who is the token white guy but useless morbidly obese toilet tax evader. 50+ years of voting history for Democrats.
