Who would have thought that people being forced to stay in side in close contact with each other might lead to personality friction?
- Chicago Police have responded to a spike in domestic violence calls for service in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and a statewide stay-at-home order, data shows.
As the pandemic began to take hold locally, police saw the number of calls go up week by week.
For the week of March 16 to March 22, there were 2,882 domestic violence calls for service. During the same period last year, there were 2,638 calls. That is a 9.2% increase. Gov. JB Pritzker issued the stay-at-home order to begin March 21 and has extended it since then.
The following week, from March 23 to March 29, police received 2,947 calls for service. During the same timeframe last year, there were 2,629 calls. That’s a 12.1% increase in calls.
Remember this in three weeks when Beck/Brown/Groot claim that "crime is down" again.

San Antonio has reported an 18% increase in family violence-related calls in March, compared to the same period of last year. Seattle Police Department said they’ve seen a 21% rise in domestic violence incidents since Washington enacted quarantine restrictions. The Montgomery County District Attorney in Texas saw a 35% increase in domestic violence cases. The Victims of Crime Resource Center in Sacramento has seen a 40% increase in domestic violence calls since the stay at home order began.
And how's that social distancing/stay at home order doing, Groot? Seems to be increasing the lead poisoning problem in certain areas. But that's racist, as is that China Virus that is trying to kill all black folks.

Perhaps the increase in calls either prive people are lonely or that they care about their neighbors and simply wanted to request a wellness check.
Guess ‘statin’ indoors’ means that ‘adults’ now have to help their children with their homework and new laptops, monitor the behavior of their youths and prepare three decent meals a day - activities that some people just aren’t able to do...

Most of us shouldn't be locked down at home at all. The only people that should be isolated are the sick, elderly and those with immune disease issues and pre existing conditions. There are epidemiologists that completely disagree with this lock down as the correct course of action and the assassination of our economy. Most people only get mildly ill from this Wuhan Virus, those with health issues may die. We don't lock the country down and get hysterical over the flu. If you have issues, social distancing is good for you, washing your hands is a good practice ALL the time.
What is the location breakdown for the calls for service? How many dispersal's and where were those event numbers pulled for the COVID-19?
......And that's to say nothing of the loud arguments coming

Anytime a disagreement comes up, their first response is to either call the police or to murder the other. Could you imagine? You and your wife/husband having a disagreement and calling some stranger to your home to solve it for you? You’d think theyd be embarrassed. Nope. Shameless.

I love stay at home/social distancing. In fact I love it so much I told the wife lets double or triple our efforts to help out. You stay 18 feet away from me and let an old retired guy drink and watch old Law and Order reruns and play on the computer. You can do whatever you want, except shop on Ebay or Amazon. And the dogs stay with me. No domestics here and the happiest time of our marriage that is approaching 40 years!
Hopefully none of you get anywhere near any of them nor arrest anyone. It's not worth your health when the SA won't cooperate anyway.

Responded to a very typical waste of Police Service west side Domestic a few years back when stuff bothered me now and again and as I patiently listened to the dramatic story of 1 of the complainants I informed him that I grew up on a city block where the same 20 or so families lived for over 25 years and during that time none of those families ever called the Police for a Domestic dispute.The tilt of his head and the blank stare told me all I needed to know and that my story had been wasted.I stopped caring pretty quickly and developed the same blank stare.
