The 011th district has had 37 people shot, 10 of which were murdered since June 1st. And we still have one weekend to go. Must be the great commander we have. Those 3 merit promotions are being paid for in blood. And don't try to tell me that a commander has nothing to do with it. Good leaders know how to make effective deployment decisions and understand the crime in the district. Good leaders can find ways to work with the increasingly negative climate we face to support their troops and help them better combat the violence. He's a complete failure at all of that.
OT: do yourselves a favor and don’t take the rank of Sgt if offered. Biggest mistake of my career. Being a Sgt is absolutely stressful and can deteriorate relationships. These young POs that you supervise will drive you up a wall, and force you into lawsuits. The money and pension is simply not worth it. It’ll shave YEARS off your life.

OT: you know when I realized the department had a big problem, when good supervisors didn’t want anything to do with getting further promoted. I’ve met fantastic sgts and Lts that want nothing to do with moving up or advancing whatsoever anymore. They are just looking for a decent spot to ride this hellish job out. That says a lot. Usually people look to move up in their careers, but not in this dept. Most of the good ones say it’s not worth it. So when the good decent supervisors are avoiding promotion like the plague, we are getting stuck with the nut jobs moving up. Hence you see what we are currently dealing with.
Don't rule out the possibility of a thousand murders for 2020. District 011 is already approaching 50 murders and summer has just begun. It appears that the CPD is holding back. Wonder why?

Example...The other night on Local Fox News, Dawn Hasbrook opened up the Atlanta shooting story, where the guy attacked the police and fired the officer’s taser at him. She said not verbatim but Something like, “Rashad a black man was shot in the back and killed by a white police officer while he was running away, after he was found sleeping in his car at a Wendy’s drive thru.” She left out all the other very important details of the incident telling the story in a horribly dishonest way. In a normal world she would not be allowed to tell it that way. She has no business being in the business. She should be a politician. I’ll never watch that channel again.

One thing is certain. Fillmore easily leads the 22 districts in MURDERS, total VIOLENT CRIMES, "Shooting Incidents" and total INDEX CRIMES.

Example...The other night on Local Fox News, Dawn Hasbrook opened up the Atlanta shooting story, where the guy attacked the police and fired the officer’s taser at him. She said not verbatim but Something like, “Rashad a black man was shot in the back and killed by a white police officer while he was running away, after he was found sleeping in his car at a Wendy’s drive thru.” She left out all the other very important details of the incident telling the story in a horribly dishonest way. In a normal world she would not be allowed to tell it that way. She has no business being in the business. She should be a politician. I’ll never watch that channel again.

Actually.....what the arbitrator ruled was that an anonymous complaint can be accepted and an investigation can be started. If there is merit, an Affidavit Override must be signed by the head of the investigating agency. You still need an affidavit regardless.
The city was doing this against the contract as well as state law when they were served with a Cease and Desist Order. Now they can do what they were doing all along because of the arbitrator's ruling.
