See-B.S. "news" doing their impersonation of an "investigative report:"
Chicago police officers are concerned their department’s COVID-19 policy is putting them at risk. CBS 2’s [...] talked to an officer who said colleagues were exposed to the virus at work, and were told if they don’t have symptoms, they can stay on the job.
On November 7, an officer assigned to the 14th District tested positive for COVID-19. That officer was among many others assigned to start duty aboard a CTA bus.
One Chicago police officer agreed to speak with CBS 2 if their identify was concealed. The officer is from the 14th District and with others was assigned to a CTA bus in the past week. They were driven to the Brickyard Mall at Diversey and Narragansett and the Humboldt Park Boathouse.
Not a bad first effort.
Now if they try doing this five or seven times a week, they might actually be able to hold politicians accountable for bad decisions.

In somewhat related news,the Chicago Teachers Union conducted their own survey and now say that most all residents of Chicago want them to be off of work and not conduct In Person Learning until the Pandemic is under control.Can the City just lay them all off already?This is beyond ridiculous and fiscally irresponsible.How did the CTU buy off the media?Never any questions about Teachers not reporting to classrooms to conduct the E Learning,percentage of students actually logging into said E Learning,or why teachers conduct said E Learning from remote locations outside the City of Chicago.
Covid clean up crews show up 4-5 DAYS after notification! Cars are not taken out of rotation and rooms are NOT taped off!!!!
CBS2 NBC5 or any other news networks. Come to the academy, OEMC on Madison or Lexington. I’m sure you can city employees and it officers will go to speak to you unanimously.

Guess "most all residents" surveyed was the teachers who want to remain home. Students, their parents and a large number of teachers want the school's open.
As long as officers put up with this abuse and neglect from their employer the poor treatment, abuse, and neglect will continue. I would strongly encourage all officers to "grow a spine", "grow a pair", whatever cliché you want to use, and initiate a job action demanding respect, a work environment free from employer initiated safety hazards and a fair contract. To those that say it's "illegal" I would reply; if you don't wish to engage your employer to stop the abuse and neglect then simply STFU and take your abuse like a grown person. If you choose not to act on your own behalf then don't expect others to support you. The F.O.P. should be leading you, what do they really do for you other than buy you pizza with your own money (dues). Now that said, Stay Safe & Fuck You Groot.

They're worried about taking a fucking wellness class but really don't give a shit ! There is no where to go to get tested asap for the cities first responders and city employees. They need to set up a north, central and south side rapid testing facility if they want to stick with this dark winter covid theme per fucktard Biden ! They also do not want to test you unless you have some symptoms so you basically have to lie to get tested at many locations ! I tested positive at a Walgreens drive up self test and was told to self quarentine for 14 days but the medical section told me only 10 days ! The only standard is that there is no standard and a lot of people will get it. I have no underlying health conditions and I'm in my middle 50's and can honestly say that for me I've only had mild symptoms such as slight headaches, congestion, fatigue, and headcold. I've been much worse before when I had the flu a few years ago. The bottom line is look after yourself because they don't give two shits about anyone. Stay safe & fetal !

Academy staff had their RDOs cancelled as well and we had to meet at the academy along with several additional units, hear Loughran address officers in his Elf costume and they packed everyone into CTA buses and vans to stand at Roosevelt and Canal or by the stores on Sheffield. Some with masks, most without. Now we have multiple people coming up positive for Covid.
In 019 an officer tested positive after being on the bus with 20 others...now everyone had to do an exposure form!!! Thanks Groot!
